I did too... and sometimes still do. I think he often gets the blame when he doesn't deserve it... but I still think he isn't good enough.
Thought it was interesting Rodgers talking about the fact that he's dealt with people like Balotelli a lot when he was a youth coach, always dealing with people who weren't the finished article etc. Obviously that background is where his man management skills come in. Hopefully will put them to good effect.
thought it was fairly obvious I was taking the piss with that one. Same goes for the Borini / Long comment...
Every single person that has hair is a ****ing batard arsehole PS...it's like being in Weymouth around here today #raining
...and Mancini, Mourinho et al didn't have any man management skills? lol Yet another example of Brent bigging himself up with pyar bullshit
didn't say that. Don't put words in my mouth. I don't know if Mancini and Mourinho ever coached youth team but dealing with young players who maybe think they've already made it but haven't which you probably have to do as a youth coach can only help.
Done Deal for Mario Balotelli who will be wearing a number 45 shirt, I just hope that the rumours are true that his move to Liverpool has a behavioural clause.
Nice words from Mario, he's a nutter who recognises he's a nutter - depends if he has enough self control to give it a really good go with us.
Interesting signing - before we were linked, I said I didn't want him near our team. Whilst he is a talented player with potential to become world class, I feel he is far too inconsistent and doesn't work hard enough. However, for £16m - I think it's a good risk to take on an international, with great experience, great potential and has won league titles.
Does anyone listen to The Times football podcast? According to pundit, qualified-referee and Arsenal super fan Alyson Rudd, Brendan Rodgers had nothing to do with Sturridge going from loaned benchwarmer to most prolific PL striker of 2014 and Balotelli signed for us because he is offended by our request to have a conduct agreement and is planning to "play some tricks" on LFC later in the season #worried
Sounds like mischief making to me. Didn't Rodgers say in his pre city interview that Balotelli's contract is the same as everyone else's in terms of conduct - no special wording, he said! As for playing some tricks - I think we're all waiting for that anyway regardless of him drawing attention to it.
