I was told on Saturday that if you completed the Balotelli deal then we'd be getting Eto'o, so we'll maybe be able to clarify the bullet dodged at the end of the season mate

5 years ago I would have taken Eto'o... now... not so much.

One way or another though, shows that Everton's stock in the world has gone up compared to where it was 5 years ago. Eto'o may be old and past his best- but he wouldn't go to a nobody- not after once being one of the most sought after players on the planet. Must respect Everton a fair bit.

You really think that...weren't QPR linked too? I think he would go anywhere that offered him money. He spent some seasons in the Russian wilderness for the money. Not slagging off Everton. Eto'o is just a mercenary .

    My thoughts exactly tbh.

As an option to Lukaku he'd be great and what he'd bring to us off the pitch from a marketing and in terms of the youth players perspective would be fantastic.

It'll boil down to whether he has a better offer from a CL club I suppose. I hope it comes off though.

  13. For the record, I said he'd get my support and he will. Doesn't mean I have to be happy about the deal and I'll be the first to hold my hands up if he turns out to be a quality purchase for us.

Who here remembers me being Skrtel's biggest critic? I usually stand up for him now. I used to defend Glen Johnson but he can get ****ed nowadays.

  14. I'd have preferred to keep Borini or even sign Long!!!
