Even without 4 years of CL we were in the top 7 interms of Revenue, and you had clubs like PSG and city above with their dodgy commercial deals. In terms of Commercial revenue we were above both Arsenal and Chelsea, only United were ahead. Quite remarkable when you consider we haven't been winning as much as United and have been off CL for 4 straight seasons. We would have been in real trouble if we had missed out on another year of CL, United could probably afford another season or two, but I doubt their sponsors- who are shelling out massive sums- would be happy about it. Pretty sure there are all sorts of clauses in there as well.

Indeed there are clauses in some deals. The adidas one will reduce to 52million if we dont qualify for champions league football. Quite a drop but still double the previous deal and much more than the next biggest deal. Its possible our revenue will increase due to the two major sponsor deals as well as the tv deals whether we qualify or not this year.
