I would say if we sign ouija board or whatever he's called and keep Hoops and Redmond we are pretty much good to go until January now.
I can't see us signing this bloke, he doesn't seem in any hurry to come and discuss a potential move. Sounds familiar to Toivonen, club agrees fee and then the transfer becomes a long drawn out saga.
It started yesterday ICHB. According to the journo on Twitter, a deal has been agreed in principle, but nothing is signed yet. The CEO of Brugge says he doesn't want to put pressure on the player, but that it's up to him now. According to the journo, he's meeting with City representatives today. Let's be a bit more patient. Most recent Twitter on this: Kristof Terreur ‏@HLNinEngeland Club Brugge CEO Vincent Mannaert on Vadis Odjidja: "We've let Norwich know that we shall find an agreement, but nothing has been signed yet. Club Brugge don't want to put pressure on Vadis Odjidja, who has opened negotiations with #ncfc. Mannaert: "Tomorrow we'll know more". (HNB) It does seem to be building up consistently. Fingers crossed.
This suffers at the hands of google translator - but the message is still clear (ish!) http://www.voetbalkrant.com/nl/nieuws/lees/2014-08-23/club-en-norwich-hebben-akkoord-over-vadis
Always a bit cryptic when translated, but the story seems consistent with other indications. I liked "Small detail: Norwich relegated last season from the Premier League."
Latest Twitter report: Kristof Terreur @HLNinEngeland · 3h Vadis Odjidja is still thinking about the Norwich proposal. Trained with Club Brugge yesterday, but didn't travel to England yet. #ncfc
Probably hoping that he may flash up on the radar in the British press if we are after him and a Prem team may go for him, you can hardly blame him but he may also end up stuck in Belgium if we turn our attentions elsewhere.
It's strange that the British press hasn't picked up on this at all, given the previous link with Everton.
Definitely. If we don't go up and he has a season scuppered by injury he could end up floundering in the second tier of English football for two or three years, end up back in Belgium, and no English side will take a gamble on him again. See: Ricky van Wolfswinkel (just replace 'don't go up' with 'go down' and 'Belgium' with 'France/Holland').
It says in the Belgian article that he travelled to England on the 23, which is slightly concerning if he is back training with them today
Did it mean him or his representatives? Balotelli for instance was still training in Milan whilst his reps travelled ahead of him to Liverpool during negotiations.
Good point - the translation is not clear but seems to imply he did. We'll just have to wait and see. My initial thought when ncfcsnowy first posted this was "he's now out of our league, it's probably not going to happen", so if it does that will be a massive bonus, but if it doesn't I won't be too fussed.
