You'd think Sky would be on the ball with all their contacts etc, but no. They even contradict themselves within a programme.
Think Cork will leave before the window shuts, and think Wanyama is more likely to go than Schneiderlin with Krueger's comments, could see Arsenal making a move for Wanyama before the deadline hits. Forgot about Tadic
Slightly off topic but Neil Warnocks odds on being Crystal Palaces new manager have been cut from 33/1 to 7/2 today with skybet.....if he gets the job will he chase Jack Cork?
No to what? If Claasie joins then one of the CMs will leave as we probably have too many as it is, and Cork seems the most likely. Wanyama is exactly what Arsenal need so wouldn't be surprised if they came in for him, whether we would sell is another matter.
I'd rather we keep Wanyama tbh. Started the season very well, similarly to last year and if he can stay fit is as influential as Morgan imho.
Wanyama is not even rumours. Morgan wouldn't go or Ralf would have to leave. Cork I can't see being allowed to leave this season, unless we get a good offer and he moans etc.
I agree. Besides, I think Jack Cork is actually very happy at Saints, irrespective of whether his new contract is being worked on or not. I suspect it is.
Took this off skysports rumour site... Leeds full back Sam Byram is still the center of at Southampton! Koeman is looking to replace Calum Chambers who left for Arsenal leaving Saints with only 1 right back, Nathan Clyne. I am told by sources I have worked with that Leeds would not accept any less than £6 million for Byram; a fee Southampton refused to pay. But, Leeds have told Southampton they would consider a reduced price if they could sign Billy Sharp on a free (which they did). Southampton have bid £4.2 million for the defender. Sam Byram wants the move to be completed ASAP. It doesn't look like Leeds will be able to keep hold of him.
Agree about Schneiderlin, can't see him going this window, possibly Jan. You think Cork would still not be allowed to go even if we brought in Claasie? The Wanyama thing was in the press a couple of days ago, and I can see why Arsenal would want him, whether or not it actually goes any further is anybodies guess. When people are saying "Townsend isn't our first choice" does this mean that we failed on our first choice and have moved onto Townsend or we are in for somebody else atm and Townsend is the backup option if it doesn't work out?
