Welbeck has been given a fair crack at United and doesn't seem capable of improving.

Borini certainly improved when give a run in a team even though it was a poor team.

I think regular football would improve him no end but Rodgers knows he won't get it there so it's a vicious circle.

Rodgers also knows the supporters wouldn't be too pleased if he 'replaces' Suarez with Borini so he has to go.

Welbeck vs chelsea a few years back is a great reminder to his strengths! Like others have said I genuinely believe he would strengthen the team...

No loan for me. Its a waste of money when we can develop him and sell on at a profit. I would much rather have Welbeck on loan as his fee would be higher and IMO Welbeck is a better player.

To he honest Buckley has made this less of a problem now, AJ, Buckley and Giacc can all play that position. What we really need is a defender or 2, we are very short at the back IMO.

    I agree.

For me we need a CB and we still lack some creativity CM.

Kalou on top, and we are set, we are very close to being decent, very decent.

I think Vergini could end up being a good centre half and try Billy Jones at Right back?.

Vergini looks like he could play just about anywhere, where it not for Catts, I'd say he'd be a quality holding player, as his touch and distribution are excellent.

Nobody is displacing Catts though, he's just gone to another level under Gus, where there any sense and justice, he'd be in the next England squad, he's easily the best English holding midfielder at the minute.

So many positives at the minute, just need a win on the board.

Colback, who's half the player, would get in before Cattermole ........ this is why I have no longer any interest in the national team.

Really ****ing annoys me mate, fans of other clubs who've read a few bits from the past still calling him a thug, when every stat proves that's now bollocks.

I've noticed, and this is another great thing in terms of his cards, he seems to have a really decent relationship with referees now, anyone noticed?

Has a chat with them, they both tend to come away smiling, he's seriously got a grip of it, and all credit.

I'd only swap him for Yaya or Matic, and that says a lot.

Love Catts me, love seeing him back in number 6 as well, just looks right.

I think the referees have also realised that it makes them look bad when they reach for the card before he's actually made the tackle.

I was out until 5am mate, and I swear I feel fit as a butchers dog. High 5 old organs, ha.

Very true, especially when pretty much every game someone used to get away with worse. I think he's losing his marked man status, and that can only be a good thing.

I'm doing all possible to prevent any onset of a hangover, so fry up done, 2 massive coffee's laced with sugar, and a constant stream of water.

I reckon I'm gonna make it, need to be fresh as well for an 8am meeting tomorrow in Carlisle, bork.
