I find it hard to focus on the comments with all the collateral baggage that obscures the content, which is surely what a forum should be all about! Yes I know the avatars and signatures can be turned off thankfully, it all seems a bit military, like wearing our campaign ribbons everytime we present ourselves at the forum. When some visiting dignitary from another site honours us with his presence I sometimes feel that he must have something more profound to offer us if he has 10 million points and stuff, but generally they just spout the same rubbish as the rest of us (this board the exception of course) was the BBC606 site more democratic and uncluttered? Rant over for now.
Now where did I leave those stamps? They were here somewhere, can't see them with all this clutter. I knew I shouldn't have eaten that pigeon;tasty though........
Morning twins, I agree about the points and reps but the sig and the avatars I'm a big fan. It adds personality!
I have to say Northolt that the images that you and Andrew manage to find are very apt and often very funny. I don't know where you guys get them or how you do it but please keep it up! I had my settings for avatars and digs turned off for a while past and I turned it back on yesterday - it was really refreshing to see them again so I must admit you have a point. While I'm at it Brixton's contributions across a wide range of topics and issues are always well thought out, informed and informative and add greatly to this board. I thank him for that.
Thanks for that guys. Not quite how it looks from behind my eyelids twins, bit of a mess that needs a thorough clear out imo! But the truth is, I love reading stuff about my club and all the people involved, especially the fans. Spent years in the wilderness (ignorant of the existence of 606 and the like - and nothing in the papers). With 606 and not, that's all changed for me now, I love our little QPR world. There's something to read everyday - thanks in the main to Northolt's massive input. I get loads of pleasure going through all the various posts on here. We've got some great characters with more coming through all the time. Whilst I've been crushed among 35,000 at LR (1970 against Man U) - I've never felt as in touch with QPR and fans as I do here and now. If anything, my contributions attempt to repay some of what you've all given me. Takes all sorts to be an R and, as I've said before, all Rs count equally with me. So grateful just to be part of. (...And twins - case in point, you've left me an enduring image of municiple workers rolling the Donegal mountains away after the tourists have left. Can't get it out of my head! See what I mean?!)
You know it Roller... Like I used to tell me son, it's the illusion that counts most! As for Northholt, so economical but every word counts with him. Note the word 'seems' !
