Right now we have: Goalkeepers: Forster, Boruc, Davis, Gazzaniga Defenders, Clyne, Fonte, Yoshida, Hooiveld, Bertrand, Targett, Stephens Midfielders: Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Davis, Cork, Taider, JWP, Reed, Ramirez, Tadic, Isgrove Forwards: Rodriguez, Pelle, Long, Gallagher, Mayuka That's 26 players. Up to 28 if you include McCarthy and/or McQueen. But those 26 players do include Isgrove, Stephens, Targett and Gallagher - as well as four goalkeepers. As far as I am aware, Koeman is looking to have a full 25(ish) options to play with - as opposed to 17 or 18 or 19 options, and then some kids who may or may not make it. On that basis therefore, I can't see a (Steve) Davis or a Cork leaving this week. Maybe Mayuka, Hoovield and/or one/two of the goalkeepers, but that's it. And even then, I can't see Mayuka or Hoovield leaving without a (better) replacement coming in first.
I have absolutely no evidence to back this comment up, but, I get the feeling that Morgan will be leaving this window, which will be difficult for Krueger following his comments. Fans will be told that we have still improved the squad with the arrival of Clasie, Vlaar or Alderweireld (prob the later following Lambert's comment yesterday) and Townsend or Redmond. This could be complete rubbish of course.

Good to hear some decent rumours coming in and I think all are positive. We're short of proven cover at right back and if Fonte picked up a knock suddenly we look vulnerable at centre back so a signing of Alderweireld would be smart. Saturday showed our passing tempo needs to improve and my limited knowledge of Clasie is that he would be a step up in that area. I don't think Clasie means a departure of Vic or Morgan. I could see them playing all three. We also need a match winner in the team. Question marks on Andros and the price tag probably puts people off, but he is a match winner and that ability comes at a premium.

I would be very happy with alderweireld. I feel it's unlikely he will want to come to us though. I've said previously that I would like Redmond if we can - but my question is if he is a high priority target then why haven't we gone and got him sooner; he's the type of player that could have turned a point into three on Saturday.
