That's what I assume. Of course they're not taking into account Ashley Young being one of these wing backs nor the effect of birds sh*tting in his mouth...
5-3-2 has some issues in that many positions need qualities, and have to do things they need to do, that they don't do in most other formations. 1. The wide CB need pace and they need to cover the "hole" behind the wing-backs. 2. The wing-backs are more "box to box", they don't try to get to the bye-line and they are "first defender" not "second defender" out wide. 3. The forwards have to be mobile and provide width up front on their side. If you have small mobile forwards and very strong mobile CBs, you can gain an advantage, particularly if the other side doesn't know how to adjust, but against a 4-2-3-1, it can be suicide, because that wide mid-attacker usually ends up in a mismatch against a CB. Then (as mentioned) the wing back drops back to provide permanent support, and suddenly your team has no width at all. If you had 3 CBs like Koscielney then you might think about it, and if you are smart you still don't play it..
Also the wingbacks need to join the midfield as well - otherwise the midfield can get over run by a really good midfield (as Liverpools 3-5-2 did against Arsenals last season)
Both Barcelona and Bayern are going to use the 3-5-2 formation this season be intresting how they get on with that formation.
Why the **** would Di Maria want to join United, what a buffoon if he goes to United. He will turn into **** just like Mata has in this average rubbish team.
that defence is flaky as fook . and that means , their attackers are never totally committed to the opponents half either . Omni-shambles.
this made me chuckle , from the Manure board , pre game "At least Cleverly's back. It's like signing a new player. A really crap one for £250,000 from a League One team. "
one thing that puzzles me is this . RVP - Rooney Mata and yet only a goal ...one goal from that hit squad. that must take some doing to stop them from scoring a few hats off to Moyes AND Van Duul
jury's out on that one mate apart from a reasonable start last year he has been poor & lack lustre by his own standards, something not right there.
He played a part in our first goal yesterday which started the comeback, . Not bad for his first game back.
Their defence yesterday was like a pub teams , and they shell out sixty million quid for Di Maria . Coz Van Judas cant get goals can he ? panic has set in big time . 2 games and one point . at what point do we start a Van Duul sack watch thread ? guffaw !
It is interesting to understand why DiMaria is the player Utd are spending a fortune on when the problems lie in other parts of the team.
I just go back the time they crowed about signing Mata , and Rvp before that , Mata was the big get out of jail card for them . How that turn out . Then Fellaini , How that turn out . Di Maria for the treble of failures ? watch this space.
