AS: Angel Di MarÃa will travel to Manchester this morning for a medical and to sign the contract with Manchester United
Massively overpriced (I'd say double) but on yesterday's display you are currently light years away from being realistic top four contenders unless major surgery is undertaken ...
... not sure what you thinks this proves Maath? ... I suspect the same could be said for Liverpool fans with Suarez, Southampton fans with Lallana and Shaw, Peterborough fans about Assombalonga? ... if a decent player wants a transfer the majority of fans will be saddened. A more meaningful poll might have been how many would prefer to keep him in preference to keeping Bale, Ronaldo or even acquiring James Rodriguez? ... I suspect he would lose out in all 3 polls ... but what would that really prove either. He's a very good player ... but I think you could get two very good players for that amount of money ... having watched your game yesterday I'd have said Ron Vlaar and Daly Blind should be top of the list, your defence is truly awful ...
I agree but to suggest that we should forego the signing of one of the best players in the world to sign Vlaar and Blind is moronic. The defence wasn't the problem yesterday, despite having two kids on the pitch for the majority of the game. We never looked like scoring a second goal and there is no pace in the team apart from Valencia who is scared to use his.
According to some of the papers, Blind and De Jong are very likely, but have to take into consideration the papers will say anything. LVG knows who he wants, but unless his signings are the equivalent of some loose change and a packet of Quavers the Wum's will all consider it way over the price.
Vlaar is in the form of his life and Villa (many pundits favourites to struggle) have started the season with 2 clean sheets ... now whilst that in itself is good, when you also consider that includes having Senderos playing, you start to realise just how good Vlaar is ... Did you watch the World Cup at all Maath? ... would seem not ... Vlaar was the outstanding centre half in the competition ... so why wouldn't you want him?
I didn't say you should forego Di Maria (he seems like a certain signing) ... my post was directed at prioritisation ... you don't lack creativity or finishing capability but you need a solid base for it to thrive from ... currently you appear just as likely to concede as score (perhaps more so) ... ... as for the moronic reference, I'll ignore that on the basis that you are obviously rather sensitive right now
Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria will fly in this lunchtime to undergo a medical ahead of his British record £63.9m move to Manchester United. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...el-di-maria-set-for-manchester-united-medical Di Maria will be the sixth most expensive player purchased in football history, what a signing this is going to be! A genuine world class winger, one we haven't had since Ronaldo
So £27m for Shaw £29m for Herrera £16m for Rojo £64m for Di Maria And reports saying 2 more players to be brought in, with hopefully Fellaini and Anderson loaned/sold and hopefully Fletcher, Cleverley and Young dropped. Also the likes of Carrick, Herrera, Shaw, Evans etc all returning from injury after the International break. Good times ahead but patience required
AS: Di Maria refuse to join PSG, even if Real Madrid could sort a deal, because he wanted Manchester United move.
Overpriced in the context of other clubs. This is all relative and a paper exercise as far as I am concerned. The important thing is to get the player at OT . That the GGs are being screwed for a player that other clubs realistically will only pay £40 ( within the FFP rules) does not ****ing bother me and should not other Man United fans.
I meant as well as Di Maria. It's a strong rumour about Manchester that those two are strong possibles. Probables even.
