Personally, as I've said before, I'd leave this now and look at other targets. Blackburn want too much from the deal.

 

Lets be honest here If Dawson and Rhodes come off plus one more that SB is hinting at then we have a very decent premier league squad/team that should be looking up not down.

Who would have thought that in December 03 (Not long after Taylor had come in). It's been one hell of a ride that you sometimes need to pinch yourself over.

 

Dawson is coming on a 3m deal by the way, so that 6m fee is halved by Spurs need to clear out. So 3m for Dawson + 12m for Rhodes + a loan (Zaha?) would be tidy.

 

How do you know this! Did Steve Bruce tell you that personally?

Just for the record, the original deal was rumoured to be £3,999,999.95

 

I get the feeling Norwich fans equate him to the way that we view danny graham.

 

He should be cheap then! (or do I mean cheep seeing as he is a Canary?)

 

I heard he was given the bird on occasions last season.

 

I'd sign Hooper, in addition to another (whether it's Rhodes or not) you need 4 decent strikers in this league.

 

I was just thinking the same, if we can get him cheap enough Hooper might be a very good buy.

 

If Hooper's unhappy with the Canaries, he could always feather his nest here.

 

i'd prefer we went farther afield for a player, South America probably. We need a Lutino.....

 

As I've said previously we definitely need a Brazilian in the team.

I also think we could do with an Argentinian, a German, a Dutchman and a Belgian.

 

This time next week... Deadline day. Getting stressed about it already.

 

If Hooper couldn't score goals for Narich, then you don't have to be a genius to work out that he'd never score goals for us....

Rhodes is at least scoring goals in the championship so he's got half a chance at this level, hooper carnt get in the team never mind score goals. We might get hooper for £6m but in January we are looking for another sticker because he isn't scoring.
Whoever we sign is a punt, id rather take that punt on someone who is presently and consistently scoring goals

 

I agree...Rhodes is worth a gamble...Hooper isn't

 

Rhodes is a lot of money but so was Ross McCormack and so was long for 12 million, so I don't think we can have it both ways. If we push the market value up then everyone else will want to do the same, if McCormack is worth £11million then Rhodes is a steal at £1million more

 

Just goes to show what a poor level the SPL is at, he scored for fun in Scotland.

 

Pub league, Rhodes who's scored consistently in the championship or hooper who scored in the spl but carnt get in a championship team.....Rhodes everytime for me
