This guy is very reliable, and is on point with all things Belgian football. This would be a tremendous signing, but a bit of a come down for the lad after playing for Atletico.

Metro piece suggests a price of about £6m. Sounds like a shrewd bit of business if we can pull it off. I really hope that the next week we out the final pieces of the puzzle together and make the most of easier fixtures.

 

Wow, 6m? If Gardos is good, would mean Jose on the bench though, which may upset some here.

 

Alderweireld will be cheap. Atletico are willing to sell, because they are very very good defensively. Would be an excellent signing as he is a versatile defender. A few more rumours of Clasie joining. Surely if we sign Clasie, Morgan will be off?

 

I just don't get this upset about a player being left out. I live Jose and even though I don't think he would be left out straight away, if he was and it was for the improvement of the team, then so be it. As it happens I think he's looking pretty commanding and will be fine. If another comes in, Jos goes and we have four CBs.

Clasie not at Feyenoord training this morning, even more rumours that he is possible coming this way. Don't know if link will work, translation isn't great either.

Me too. People are scared of improvement. I call it 'the Boruc effect'.

 

I can't see us signing either of them, but if we're sitting here in just over seven days time with Alderweireld and Townsend as Saints players, then I would call this final week of the window a success.

 

If Clasie leaves this window it would surprise me if it wasn't to Saints solely based on his relationship with Koeman. If he does come, I can see cork going and possibly even Davis too. I like them both, so this is not me saying they should go.

If we play 4-3-3, that gives us Vic/Morgan/Clasie/JWP/Reed/Taider for the first three and Tadic/Long/Pelle/Gaston/Jayrod/Gallagher for the forward three. Davis and cork to add to that too and maybe another winger.

Even without Claise signing, I can see two more players leaving, plus Jos if we sign a CB.
