This. There were more people singing than before and both sides were loud. Also I've noticed in both home games so far that the crowd seem more positive overall, there's more encouragement and less of the groaning at every bad pass and "What a waste!" every time we take a free kick or corner short.

I really didn't think it'd work splitting the existing lot down the middle, but it's generated two areas where it's deemed acceptable to sing loud and proud. Many clubs, Stoke included, don't have one.

Are you in the North Stand or the East Stand PLT ?

Hope you was singing your head off.

One of the juniors thought her ear drums might burst in N4 but they sure loved the noise and the better view then we had in e1

Glad you think so actually :emoticon-0104-surpr

I'm a west stander. I don't really know why, we've just always sat there in the same place since BP. At away games I love the noise but don't sing at home cos no one around us does which is a shame.

And get those stupid banners on the East Stand Concourse replaced with two that actually mean something. The one saying 'we had six floodlights' and the other saying 'our name cannot be filled in' They mean nothing.
We have huge pictures of FC fans at Wembley. another one claiming FC offered more money 'then Manchester United' for a player 100 years ago, insinuating that they are/were bigger then Man Utd, and we have those two mickey mouse banners. Where's our Wembley memories?

Too early to form a firm conclusion, but we were in the east stand, and apart from Stoke singing on occasions, it was among the flattest atmospheres we've had against a noisy side compared to the normal experience. Had they gone ahead, they'd have dwarfed us for noise. north stand was, as predicted, inaudible for most of the game as shown in earlier threads, where each stand thought the other was quiet.

It proved the effort should have been put into waking up the other stands not splitting up the noisy ones.

I feel sorry for the Allams, they got given s**te advice and took it in good faith. Fortunately, they seem to now realise this so hopefully something decent can be salvaged from the wreckage and maybe, get back some of the lost fans.

Will you be at the next meeting? Isn't it supposed to be an opportunity for some of the 300-500 fans that asked to be considered to voice their views? After all, you reckon you're only representing yourself, so as a west stander, it doesn't affect you.

Not really. For the most part it's the same sporadic groups scattered in what's left of the East Still far too many sat on their hands, and they're the ones the changes should have addressed. It could improve those I heard that didn't like now being near the away fans can be moved out and more vibrant fans brought in.

Stoke in E1 to E3 easily outsung the rest of the ground when they got going.

Really? Who did because everyone tried to deny any involvement when I asked before.

Eh? Am I missing the joke or are you now going full circle and after vehement denials, now claiming you were involved in this?

I meant the next meeting I'm at(I'm assuming I will get invited back at some point), I know there is another fan group meeting arranged that's a different group to the first two meetings.

You bitter old man. What a sack of lies.

For the record there were time both north and East were going in time at the same time stoke fans picked up, and the stoke fans were completely drowned out from south.

It was a roaring success and that fact is non debatable.
