Look I'm not here for a fight, do you think the charities give a damn who where the money comes from. Anyway let's enjoy the match, I apologise for getting upset earlier....but it does read very arrogant.
I think you need to look up the word arrogant because you're misusing it and doing so is a sure fire way to start the fight that you're not looking for.
I'm not mate. Saying that i need to Google something to understand it and claiming that 99% of people doing the challenge is very arrogant and abuses a lot of good people doing good. Argue it all you want.
A good cause, caught up in a media frenzy by knackers trying to outdo each other with a childish gimmick.
Hi Bexinio. I've clearly hit a very raw nerve upon you and that was never my intention. I would never decry anyone performing a worthwhile cause for the right reason. I applaud anyone who raises funds for worthwhile charitable causes. My point was about so-called celebrities jumping on the band-wagon of this latest charity-fest, which wasn't a criticism of the charity itself but of the celebrities performing their very visible contribution to a noble cause, in the interests of their own personal interest. My own daughter, her boy-friend and 7 to 10 other people in my own immediate circle have done the ice-bucket challenge but I'm not sure any of them have yet contributed to the ALS chastity, which was the original intention. It's just something that everyone is doing at the minute and to me it dilutes the purpose. As for charitable contributions, i do my bit every year, more so around Christmas. Anonymously.
Just a follow up. My apologies if I sounded arrogant. I clearly didn't get my point across. Just sorry you took it in that context.
No I apologise mate too, I shouldn't get annoyed about it. Lets hope for a great season on the back of 2 good results, good signs today!
