despite all the talk of Ricciardo winning the championship this year, its not very realistic, sure there's 50 points available in the last race but people seem to forget that both of the Merc's are racing there aswell
I'd wager that people are now assuming that anything is possible with the Mercedes duo. It wouldn't surprise me if they made contact a few more times this year.
Amazing this happened on the first race back. Didn't think it would restart in such a state. It's going to get crazy now.
Just saw an interview with Hamilton by Will Buxton after the race, and he genuinely looks defeated. Never seen him like that. I'd say Rosberg has this mental battle all sewn up.
So if Rosberg won this title would you say it would be a tainted win? Or a clever calculated victory?
Very cold victory if he wins it. Yes he put effort into it but he held no prisoners. I'm talking as if Nico has won it because realistically, Lewis gave up when he tried to box to finish halfway through the race. Sad really not the LH I think anyone wanted to see. Even me!
I think it's worth noting that Rosberg is yet to win a race without some disaster befalling Hamilton.
I actually think he was justified in wanting to save the engine. It's pointless risking one bad result becoming two with an engine failure down the road. But yeah... I've not seen Hamilton that defeated before. I've seen him down or having teddy throwing moments, but that was different.
I don't think Rosberg has won a race against Hamilton when Hamilton has been ahead either on pole or overtaken on the start and both have finished.. That's Rosberg mentality for what happened right there
Yeah... he wants it. That's why he's so gutted. It's just not going his way. He needs to buck up though, and if he loses it, go out kicking and screaming, not go out with a whimper.
Just watched some of the interviews from the UK and he seems a lot more composed on those than he did on the Buxton one. He looked almost crushed. And boy... The don't half ask some stupid questions sometimes.
Couple of interesting things from Hamilton in his reveling of what went down in the debrief. and Is Rosberg putting himself in a position where he could fall out of favor with the team?
Nico Rosberg is a cheat. He's the new Michael Schumacher as far as 'racing' is concerned. He should be banned from F1 forever, and he should be shot by firing squad first thing tomorrow morning.
You'd have to suspect it would be Hamilton on the departure if it comes to that... But it seems Rosberg might be becoming a little abrasive. With both Lauda and Wolff being fairly vocal about the situation, it makes me wonder if Rosberg is becoming a bit of a handful. Who knows. It's hard to say for certain given the little snippets.
