Cyprus. I posted a thread the other day asking why so many presenters and reporters on Channel 4 News were non-white. It wasn't racist, abusive or otherwise offensive. It didnt use offensive or crude language. It merely asked a question and if anyone else had noticed this or knew the reason for it. For some reason, the thread was pulled. No explantion, nothing. Yet, I have seen threads on here asking "Is rape ever justified"; and many, MANY threads that are sickeningly homophobic, racist, sexist, and otherwise abusive, etc... Now, I'm all for a bit of crude banter from time to time, but some of these threads should have been closed after post ONE. In a nutshell your plea, while entirely legit, is a bit inconsistent, no?
**** off you. I asked that question purely from a anthropological point of view. Despite that, it got closed. The problem isn't the subject as raised by the OP, but the direction the thread takes. I suspect your thread was hijacked by racists hence it was closed. There is very little moderation on GC and that's what makes it so good.
