Cheers Soop I now actually feel better after watching that. Even willing to give the 3-5-2 system another chance(es).
I get the impression that it's difficult. Or at least not easy. Having had my dig, I think he was right, it was the lack of energy especially in midfield, not the shape that screwed us today.
To praise the two centre backs, and say they did well today, having lost 4-0, seems a bit strange to me. Not saying he should berate them to the press, but to single them out and praise them seems odd.
Aside from Faurlin (who I would always pick) who have we got? Henry, Faurlin and one from Barton, Mutch and Fer?
Interesting what he said and he makes a lot of sense. Interesting he said Rio and Caulker did ok, no mention of Dunne, will he play next week? Mentioned Isla being left on his own with no cover from the midfield and Fer not being ready for 90 minutes. As that is what we have seen as supporters it gives you more confidence going forward. The lack of energy in midfield was noticeable and when Faurlin came on the tempo increased no end.
He seems surprised that some of the players were off the pace! Fer said in his interview on the Official he wasn't ready, and Arry says Isla hasn't played for a while, why throw them on from the start away to Spurs then? I understand Isla a bit as Danny doesn't look a wingback, but Fer replaced Ale who seems most on here 's MoM against Hull, and Much shows little, whereas Hoillet was hot pre-season?
I think Harry will get it right and we'll stay up, so I'm definitely not flyer. He needs to take a long hard look at his recent decisions though. In that press conference he mentioned that Fer + Isla haven't played much football recently. Why did you chuck them straight in the side away to spurs then old chum?! He complained about a poor pre season. Why did he arrange/approve the selected games then? At least he looks genuinely miserable which is nice- because that's how most of us feel
Henry alongside Faurlin for games away at the top sides would do me. I'm not convinced about Mutch. Id be happy to see Hoilett in behing the forwards, as he had a strong finish to last season and a strong pre-season. Why the **** did he play some of these players though? If he knew they weren't ready, why play them? He clearly doesn't rate Faurlin.
Fair enough, I totally agree that he threw Isla & Fer in too soon , in fact he more or less said that himself
I can understand playing Isla as Simpson seemed to be lost there against Hull and did ok despite his side being overloaded by Spurs. Fer was the real let down as he looked lost and not fit. I think the Faurlin thing is more to do with a power struggle with TF rather than ability as he has showed last week and today. The difficulty is when a player is zipping it around in training and looks good then doesnt do it match day what is he supposed too do. I am hoping Dunne is given a break from first team and Ned gets a run as he looked good today.
There were no good performers in QPR side today but Dunne, Fer, Traore and Remy were lost more than the rest of our bunch. I was wondering that was it the last mach in the hoops for Remy.......If he continueš like he did today then its au revoir!
Because you think he was not trying 110%? I could not work out whether it was that or the lack of service.
Let's hope we don't get to Christmas and still be debating whether Harry knows who his best eleven is.
This!! He seems surprised that some players who have not touched a ball competitively were off the pace.... why did you play them then?
I fear that will be the case however! In Harry's dictionary the word consistency means "custard-like mess thrown together, just to meet the quota of ingredients"
