I think the main thing annoying Toto and Niki is not the fact that it happened so much as it happened on lap 2. If Rosberg had waited one lap longer he'd have had DRS and could have done it much more cleanly. Simple impatience, reflects badly on the sponsors, and at this point one retirement for Rosberg could even put Ricciardo in the hunt for the title, which would have been inconceivable a few weeks ago.
Prost tried to take out Senna out in Suzuka in 89, but it backfired and he made it back to the pits and won, so then he whined in his mate Balestre's ear to get Senna DQ'd and win him a WDC for something everyone who has raced at Suzuka and been in the same position, prior and since, has done without sanction, and then you had the pole controversy.
