So United have to break the British transfer to buy Di Maria.

Here are the 3 players to break the british transfer in last 5 years.

£30m for Robinho
£35m for Carroll
£50m for Torres
£60m for Di Maria?

Hopefully the pattern is clear to everybody.

Just reading the rawk meltdown thread on redcafe and someone found the ronaldo thread from 2007/08.

If you ever needed proof of how poor their football knowledge is as a collective group, read it..

Pennant is better than ronaldo. Someone. A real live person... Said this. Many more agreed.

Anyone with common sense can see that 35 mill for Caroll was panic buying at its desperate best

Will take your word for it UIR. I only looked once on HAWK, and 30 seconds was more than enough. Its a bit like looking into a Kia dealership, then realising that you have a Mercedes at home

BBC is saying Real is wanting £75m for Di Maria, thats crazy, thats same price as Suarez and Suarez is the 3rd best player in the world.

What you really mean theresonlyonegerrard is that he is out of your price bracket. Its like United shop at Harrods, whilst Liverpool nip down to the pound shop

Veron was a world class player, it just didn't work out. You can see why united spent so much on him after what he did in Italy and the NT.

Carroll on the other hand was a panic buy, he achieved nothing but a good 6 months pl.

Suarez's value would've been higher if it wasn't for his disciplinary problems. He's a better footballer than Di Maria, but a massive liability.

Apparently Lavezzi has had a late bid that's been accepted - therefore giving PSG the go ahead to sign Di Maria.

What about Ibrahimovic? Deadly striker of the ball form short and long ranges, world class short passing ability, aerial threat, strong, excellent dribbling skills.

I think Suarez is a bit more technical, but I think Ibra is more deadly, IMO. I'd rather have Ibra.

Also Yaya Toure. 20 goals a season midfield player who is a world class passer of the ball, plus his freekicks are immense, and he's also world class defensively. He's an all round player.

Marca: Real Madrid and Manchester United have reached an agreement for Di Maria. €75M + €15M add-ons.

Marca: Di Maria will travel to Manchester tomorrow and the official announcement will be on Monday or Tuesday

£75m for Di Maria and the worse part is that in La Liga, he only scored 5 goals in whole of last season!

He will struggle to score 3 goals in the PL in that case.

This is day light robbery.

Shaw and Di Maria for £105m!

You could have got Fabregras and Kroos for less than that <ok>
