Wilshere is a decent player, not top quality. That phrase has been bandied about and de-valued so much in recent times. I'm not saying he is a bad player but he certainly isn't the world beater some of you think he is. When he has a few league titles under his belt, maybe a couple more domestic trophies and a CL title, you can talk about "top quality."
I think it's a similar scenario as Walcott and Ramsey, like Wilshere they both came into the Arsenal team at a very young age, showed great potential and then suffered with injuries and it took a while for them to come back to their best. For me Wilshere has shown that he has the capability to be a top quality player, but like the other two he is in a period of rehabilitation and needs games and an injury free run. But the talent is there, that is undeniable. I'm not saying that he's there at the moment, he needs to work hard and show consistency, but it's comments like he's living off of his reputation as a youth player, that are quite frankly rubbish. My concern is that because of the obvious talent that Wilshere has, the pressure will be on and people will start using him as a scapegoat when he has a poor game, like they did with Walcott and Ramsey ...... and we all know how that turned out.
No... again, just because your opinion differs from someone else's opinion doesn't mean that their opinion is the one that is rubbish.
this is all people are saying . And if it doesnt happen , then what , are we allowed to moan ? And when , do we have to wait a few years before its deemed duly respectful. All this constant harping on about we were all wrong about Ramsey . how he got slated , and we were all wrong because look how good he is . FFS , WHEN a player is offering nothing , and making constant mistakes , he WILL get slated. When he starts to be a real asset to the team he WILL get praised to the hilt . Its not fickle . or shortsighted . Its life. Jack has gotta pull his socks up or he will lose his place , he has plenty of competition in that slot. Next the suggestion will be that we should still play him every game regardless to improve his confidence . There aint time for such things . 38 games is all we have . You play the players that on on form . We cant afford to carry anyone this season . Its gonna be tough .
Wilshere has never shown top quality in the first place for us fans to be 'patient', people are inventing history here by pretending Wilshere was super top quality back in 2010, fact is he has never been world class and more often than not, has been average.
My opinion was that it was rubbish, your opinion is your own. So there we go, we're all entitled to an opinion.
I just watched the highlights and I am surprised about the positive writing about Giroud's performance. In the highlight I saw him miss 4 chances or so and then got the header at the end. Or am I over critical?
Wilshere is better than Diaby. BTW where is Diaby now, when we need another midfield body? Let me guess... Injured?
If your delicate sensibilities are offended by me saying somebody's comment was rubbish, then you're probably on the wrong forum.
Yah I didnt see the game so hard to say anything from 3 minutes of highlights but looked like he missed 4-5 chances before scoring. I presume if he did not score the header then we would hear a lot more about it.
You pipe up with your mod hat on every now and then telling others to stop arguing and being rude or their posts will be deleted. But you're fine with telling others that their opinions are rubbish and write WUM articles in the style of HIAG.
Somebody said that Wilshere is 'living off his reputation as a youth player'. I said that was rubbish and you proceed to have a hissy fit about it. Get over yourself cini.
