  1. Premier League

  2. Champions League

  3. FA Cup

  4. League Cup

  5. As much as Everton and Spurs!

Arsenal, £40,000,001. Classed by all on the Liverpool board as a show of strength by your owners *what are they smoking", so i guess you can do something if a buy out clause is met, if you really want to <ok>

This is total bull really, just posturing cos utd are in the back foot from the start......

Reality check.... You all bloody well saw lfc 0-2 Chelsea. You are not all that dim.

Chelsea could've been there still and not scored had Gerrard not been looking for a Hollywood ball out to Johnson and took his eye off the ball and frankly lfc started the game with discipline that rapidly descended into frenetic game chasing. Nobody should deny lfc could also be there still and never score due to simply trying way too hard shooting stupidly and never getting in behind and frankly Gerrard lost all discipline and refused to play his te since

Simple as. Nobody should say Rodgers is perfect or a genius BUT this isn't about Rodgers..... This is about utd being rubbish, Lvg is supposedly a tactical genius who in his first game threw on Felliani and lumped it at him for the period. It's about utd paying well over the odds for mata then replacing him a few months later... And of course the 6 cbs and turgid tactics that look to be the same as moyes with just a big name to back it

So keep trying to distract.... It's very funny

So you know for a fact that this was a buy out clause. Did John Henry phone you up to ask if we should sell?
It was assumed that because arsenal thought they were being clever bastards and bidding a penny over the alleged buy out clause that he would go running to them. Didn't happen because they were wrong and so are you

Sigh.... Allowed to talk clause v an actual sell clause.....

In the end this is really simple..... Utd fans will love to say 65 lfc fans will say 75... And nobody fn cares.

Ok there I said it, aside from the day the transfer was done when there was some fun to be had... Well sorry but who cares how much lfc are spending it

    With who?
We have 4 accepted centre backs, Evans, Jones, Smalling and now Rojo. Michael Keane is still very raw, Dexter Blackett is already very good and deffinately one for the future, but for now just the 4, which any team needs to cope with injuries, suspensions etc.

You want me to say di Maria so you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? Well there you go enjoy.

The problem you have is you are struggling to get enough cbs so im sure you lot will be looking for some more to shore up. The fact you've missed somehow the 6 at the back jokes or ignored them I dunno

    Turgid... Be prepared

di Maria as No 10, you failed on the first hurdle!
Were no full backs involved in these jokes? if not it shows a very poor understanding of defending!

Me neither Shteve. Vidal or Khadira may make me feel better if we continue with the 3-5-2 formation but di Maria looks to be heading away from that so who knows.

It does seem a strange signing as if he continues in the 352 or 532 what ever you want to call it, Di Maria doesn't seem to fit in very well

A very good player, but like I mentioned earlier, is £50m on him not better spent on a very good CB and CM? Can't see you getting anyone else (or at least big money/big name) after spending near on £100m this window without making anything back in sales.

    <laugh>

I said the CURRENT manager of the year who is CURRENTLY playing great winning football is a good manager <ok>

You used a PAST winner who won the award managing a DIFFERENT team who has since moved to a CLASSLESS club and been FIRED for being a POOR manager <ok>

Similarly you HOPE that your CURRENT manager can even come close to what Rodgers has achieved given that all his good management was done DECADES ago when you probably weren't even born <ok>

The world cup? You really should stick to things you know about, try tennis or something!
Just to put me right, what has Rodgers achieved?

He's built a team that plays attractive, winning football and competes for the league and champions league

What have Man Utd achieved with the quarter of a billion pounds they've invested in the squad since Ferguson left?

Van Gaals prefered system is 4-3-3 but he stated when he took control of United that he would have to go 3-5-2 with the players at his disposal. If he wants to go back to his prefered system he will have to buy players like di Maria at some point.

That' the thing I don't get. The players at his disposel aren't suited to a 352 surely?

You don't have 3 good CB's, you don't have anyone that's played wingback at all (the fact A.Young & Lingard were playing there shows that) and only have 1 fit in favour forward in Rooney at the moment until RVP comes back.

Surely with Janujaz, Young, Lingard who are all wingers, you play them in a front 3 with Rooney in the middle (or Mata one side as well and allow him to tuck in).

Then you put Fletcher, Herrara and one other in the midfield 3.
