I wouldnt call Suarez a time bomb either. All his incidents have been spread out and isolated. I genuinely believed each one was the last, and believe the World Cup one to.
I know he's a good player ( di Maria) but £50+million? And whenever I've seen him play he tends to disappear or spend a lot of time trying to con refs. Should fit in well at united then. Strikes me as a 'luxury' player and not what manure really need at this time.
This signing is like Mata, reeks of a club desperate attempt to look relevant in today's game. It might work if the previous months hadn't consisted of an endless stream of rejections from players Man Utd actually needed.
Want saying I don't want him because he's a ****, that's just a unwanted bonus. I don't want him because he doesn't fit the club and he's one of the laziest players around!
I like Di Maria.. The Dutch were heavily reliant on Robben during the World Cup, I can see Di Maria playing that similar roll for Untied Quick, tricky player, esp. on the counter, they still need a bit more quality but he's not a bad signing, not bad at all!
The do-****-all-and-give-the-ball-away-57-times-in-90-minutes-then-have-Messi-serve-you-a-tap-in-on-a-plate role? Rooney is already down to convert Man Utd tap-ins #competition
But it's a bit like us signing a load of forward when we needed defenders. Obviously we still had money to spend and have invested in defence by if United spend £50m on Di Maria, do they have another £60m to invest in a CB/RB and a CM?
More to the point is who is out there for them to invest that money. Already had to accept a second choice ( poss third choice) player in Rojo.
From the Twatter Sphere, he appears to be heading there.. PSG may come in for him, but wouldn't they be in breach of FFP? So would need to sell before buying..
He was one of RMs best players last year.. Granted he didn't have the best of World Cups, but quite a few stars didn't perform in Brazil. Good player, certainly not a bad one.. But.. saying all that, I'm happy (very) with the business we've done in this window!
Exactly. £170m spend on Di Maria, Herrera, Shaw, Fellaini, Mata and another £80m committed to Rooney's contract. That's a quarter of a billion pounds sunk into a squad that still looks nowhere near even top 4. What. The. Actual. ****.
Doubt it.. If we sign anymore players (assuming Balotelli signs), I'd guess one will be a GK not sure we'll get anymore outfield players.. Maybe a DM if Lucas moves on..
Yeah I wasn't being serious. But your right if Lucas is going we should look at DM. Not fussed about back up keeper at the moment.
United would be better off signing Chris Samba than Di Maria but they wont see it that way. #theyjustwantnames #materialistic
When you put it that way......... And seeing mata is now replaced, Felliani is only a hoofball target and shaw is "unfit" a massive amount of said investment is not actually any good
Dortmund lost their opening game to Leverkusen today, Lever scored in 9 sec of the KO. Bid for Reus, save him from the gutted and fading Dortmund team?
