Really bad first half . Did the business in the second half good to see the Costa get on the score sheet again lad looks the real deal . However that first half showed us that there are area's that we need to improve which im sure will come with more games .
A bit nerve racking in the first half, but Jose must have waved his magic wand at half time! What a difference! Brana was fantastic, and Courtois showed his credentials as we'll. We're going places this year- Blues!
Well played lads...deserved win although i'd be interested to hear your views on our team. I imagine most teams come to your place and park the bus but Nigel Pearson will never do that, glad we gave you a game for an hour at least. Good luck for the rest of the season....had you guys down as Prem winners before a ball kicked and haven't changed my mind.
What stood out for me is that last year we would have drew or lost that game, but now we have the tools to break anybody down. I really think this is our year... you guys were really good on the break, anbd the "solidness" you showed says to me you've got a pretty good chance of competing with anyone in the league!!
Big difference 1st and 2nd halves. We were looking just like last year most of the 1st half, though Leicester played extremely well and looked a bit sharper and quicker. Big difference after Jose had "a quiet talk" to the players ! Brana was the standout for me, he's in great form. Everyone else improved as the game went on and most were looking good by the end. Natural to be a bit slow off the mark , but signs for a better year are there. Am still concerned that our 2 CDs are very slow, though they cover that with exceptional positioning.We really have to acknowledge that JT will not be around for ever, and blood a youngster during the season in the right matches. Only other slight worry is Oscar, who was OK but a long way off his form of early season last year. Its a long time to be below par. When he gets going properly he will make a huge difference. Well done all, max points well deserved, and every reason to be optimistic.
Seen the score of 2-0 and thought it was a strole in the park for you lads. Watched the whole game on game of the day and realised you were very lucky not to be 2/3 goals down by half time. You were the stand out team on the first weekend of the season but today has shown you to be nothing special.
Thought he was just OK and not a patch on his early season form from last year. He was below par end of season, below par in Brazil except from one 45 min period, and for me below par yesterday. I'll have to look at a replay, maybe I am expecting too much? Hazard started to look like his old self 2 nd half, which can't be bad.
Very good first half from you guys and could've gone 1 up if not for Courtois! Your keeper wasn't too shabby either! I thought Courtois or Ivanovic were good for MOTM.
MOTM for Dfer was Brana. I was impressed with Leicester's attitude, unfortunately they'll learn better. Not impressed by the ref 4/10, Cesc kicked the ball out, ref had no idea what was going on. Impressed with Roman chanting along for Drogba. Impressed by me for calling the subs long before Jose did. Willian came on and went '"Shurrle who?" .
It's strange how we all view it so differently. I missed the first half but have to say I thought from what I saw in 2nd half that Oscar was slow and I have thought that for a while now, and also he's making a lot more mistakes in passing. I for one was glad when he was substituted.
The 2nd half was magical football all around from us. Even the subs Willian and Ramires looked fresh and hungry.
Well done lads I was just happy to still be in the game after an hour, thought you would properly thump us to be fair. I agree with CunningFox above, in that I have you down as title winners. The only bits I saw was that on MOTD, was pretty impressed with our performance, just a shame we couldn't have taken one of those chances, especially that Nugent one Be interested to hear your thoughts on us, compared to other promoted teams who have visited the Bridge. My thoughts are, keep playing like that and you'll worry the life out of most teams and beat plenty. Well played and best of luck, and please, keep playing attacking football!!
I know people talk a lot (not just in this game), but the difference between the 1st & 2nd halves. In my opinion, it comes down to the fitness, skill and pace over a prolonged period of time. Often, the first half is "close", but often the opposition cannot keep that up for the whole game. As the match moves into the 2nd half, they tire and we probably don't play too differently, but we are able to keep the same momentum and movement - so it looks completely different. In this case, Leicester had to work so hard for the first 60 minutes (which they did), but were unable to maintain for 90.
