Was left completely out of the Madrid squad tonight, he's a gonner. Question is...to who? Looks like it's only between us and PSG and the latter can't make the move due to FFP. Surely even Ed can't f** it up from here?

I think you're right here. Moyes got slaughtered this time last season because of lack of transfers. Plain to see for all now that it wasn't his fault.

Moyes couldn't attract players because he was Moyes and Woodwood is a moron. If LVG is struggling to attract players it's because of the lack of Champions League football and because Woodwood is a moron.

United are THE big story in English football, not arrogant just true, and the media have jumped onto the club in decline story as it gets people all over England and indeed Wales salivating. Every player who doesn't come to United will be considered to have rejected them and every player who does come will be an overrated, overpriced panic buy. It sells papers. LVG knows how to build a squad and I don't see why he shouldn't have at least moderate success at United, he's done it at every club he's managed. Ultimately I think most people know that and are just enjoying the short term "failure".

Paranoia. The world is not out to get United. In fact the press is very supportive. Moyes got a Very easy ride from the press last year considering

For the last ten years, everyone in football -fans, media - have been waiting to see what would happen when SAF retires from his United job. That would be the big news. The media got more than they expected with Moyes and that pratt Woodward.

Moyes totally underestimated the size of the task (like many here). How difficult can it be to take over the champions who trotted to a title with 11 points, almost unchallenged. Any fool could do it. Moyes then promptly dismantled the coaching system, and brought Phil Neville and co <doh> They got rid of hugely experienced Gill and brought a pratt Woodward who had no clue and in last year together with Moyes were trying to play mind games and getting bargains. Even then I said these f**ers should just get the players they want at the asking price. No fuss would need to be created. What is the point of saving the odd million here and there? this club isn't Everton.

The talk of decline is premature. The club is massive even with the GGs as owners. The global fanbase is in several hundreds of millions and even into a billion and is more secure than people here think. Several years of mediocrity could affect it a bit but it is incredible how even when United was in the 2nd tier the overseas fan base remained and in many countries even increased. There is no explanation for it . Some chavs dismissed their loyalty but I have been in these countries and they are more loyal than some of the supporters here in the UK.

LVG will take United to around 5th or 6th. There is still a lotof dead wood. Scholes is right to be worried. Many of the players are totally "lost". They looked lost at OT last season and during the first macth this season they did as well for long periods. It will be up to LVg to refocus the players and get them to play as a team. Like SAF did after 6 years of trying. LVG won't get that length of time.

We all know Woodward is a lightweight, but what do we expect from an ex accountant, who by the very nature of his background exists at United purely on the basis that he is a tight fisted git. (Standard policy of all accountants). I spent a long part of my working life dealing with accountants and quantity surveyors, and they all have the same principals. Tight as a sharks arse. Add to that factor that Woodward got promoted by the Glaziers on his merits as a Yes man, and its no wonder we miss out on players.

Add to that smug and stupid grin Woodward shows every time he is photographed and any one can he hasn't got a clue what he is doing. Doesn't deserve to be in the same position as David Gill, the man is a total waste of space (and a massive salary)

Get rid of the clown now, and get a true professional in his place

So wait a minute, Moyes was a total mistake but after spending 75m the mighty LVG will make you finish a whole place higher!

United are paying over the odds for ordinary players and crazy wages too.

Jose turning them down along with every decent player on The market has not helped either

If you United by Di Maria, United would of spent £126m of transfers on three players this season!

And United spent another £60m on the last 2 transfers!

You might be able to copy a players name, but your use of the English language and your spelling is atrocious.

Just shows how poor the education system is in your area, but do we expect anything good about that place. Perhaps if you had spent more time on your education instead of playing truant you might have sufficient intelligence to get a job. But that would involve the one four letter word guaranteed to offend a scouser. WORK
