he's virtually playing up fornt and has not got 2 in what 3 games?

I think he's a hidden gem and ready for this. He's in my words sumptuous.

If there are any brighton fans on here they will be singing his praises shortly.. oh and hyppia plays good stuff so who knows

He's not playing upfront. He's playing more like attacking midfield. He's got 2 in 2 and a bit games but considering he's 20, never really played a full season, 20 goals is a bit unrealistic. Young players are inconsistent, so he'll probably go through good and bad patches.

I think the last time Brighton had a player that scored 20 league goals in a season was Zamora back in early 2000's.

He won't get 20 goals, calling it now <ok>

On-loan Liverpool midfielder Luis Alberto struck the opening goal of the Spanish league season on Saturday evening to earn Malaga a 1-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao.

The 21-year-old assumed penalty responsibilities on 35 minutes and sent the rebound home after his spot-kick had initially been palmed away by the goalkeeper.

Alberto, a versatile attacking midfielder who arrived at Anfield last summer, is spending the duration of 2014-15 with the La Liga outfit.

Elsewhere in Spain, forward Iago Aspas was an unused substitute as Sevilla kicked off their campaign with a 1-1 home draw against Valencia.

In France, meanwhile, Belgium international Divock Origi entered the action for the final 17 minutes of Lille's 2-0 Ligue 1 victory over Lorient.

Sami Hyypia expects on-loan Liverpool youngster Joao Carlos Teixeira to improve even further with Brighton & Hove Albion after already finding the back of the net twice within a week.

The Portuguese playmaker joined the Seagulls temporarily earlier this month and has wasted no time in making an impression for the Championship outfit.

His maiden start for Hyypia's charges, at Leeds United on Tuesday, brought an early goal for the 21-year-old and that goalscoring form continued this weekend.

Teixeira struck the winner midway through the second half yesterday to secure a 2-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers - and his manager has been suitably impressed so far.

"He's good on the ball, a good football player, an intelligent player that can score goals," said the former Reds centre-back, who represented the club 464 times.

"I hope he takes the advantage to play for us; normally loan deals work both ways, in that we give him the opportunity to play at this level.

"I think our style of play suits him as well. From our point of view, we can have a very good player on our side. He has a good mentality, is training well and we can push him to improve himself.

"We need quality from the other players so that we can get him on the ball in dangerous areas and he can score goals. I think when we can get him on the ball around the box, he will be dangerous there."

I guess when they say gone back to Liverpool, it's only to sort out the injury and not actually terminated his loan then.

Unless it's a different Smith?

    Origi v Belgium

Looks quick and a real handful. Drops deep like Sturridge and does some nice lay offs to team mates.
