The guy who wrote the original Rhodes for 'cash + player' deal story in The Mirror has just tweeted that Rhodes is definitely staying at Blackburn.
Should never have sold Long even for that money. As for a replacement not got a clue, but we haven't got long left to bring one in.
We were going for Charlie Austin last year who was supposed to be good, he's slow and apparently Rhodes is too. I don't see how Rhodes isn't a huge gamble at the kind of deal we have been offering, and we shouldn't have to be that desperate.
It was more me questioning replacing him with a midfielder. They very nearly threw it away too. As I say, I may be wrong but it just had a feeling of taking him off for him to receive the appreciation of the supporters and for him to wave goodbye to them.
