Cheers AK. Leeds might still be ill. Hockaday's back! Predictions are all over the place. I can only see a win for us. I hope it shuts up the vicious rumours that surround a certain manager, at least our Italian owners are not, well, Cellino like! A good win needed and expected. COYH COYH COYH !!
Thanks ak, I am sure it will develop. Two teams with Italian owners come together. Always a noisy day at the Vic when they meet, but will Leeds be bringing the usual large away support following the poor display in mid-week? While Watford had a win mid-week win against Rotherham away from home, Leeds suffered a loss at home to Brighton. The Leeds fans have been unhappy in the extreme at the teams display, and have been calling for a new head coach. Quite how much he is in control of team selection and tactics no one seems to know, but he does not recruit players and there is general dismay at some of the players brought in. Watford's head coach does have plenty of supporters and some doubters, and there have been some suggestions that he may not be in post too long. Public displays of anger by players cannot be right whatever the situation behind the scenes. It is difficult to guess which players will be on the pitch at 3.00pm. Watford seem to be trying out different formations and that brings about changes in personnel. Leeds are still signing players and how many of them will play remains to be seen. I will go for a decent home win simply because most of the Watford players have had time to train together and have shown periods when they do play well.
thanks ak you are a star for doing this for us . im a watford fan for the rest of my days , club 1st then the current owners followed by anyone the fly's the colors , but m not happy at people showing disrespect to the club or the manage, mr dyer should know better , In a lot of things its not what you do its how you do it. We all know that agents leak story's to the press. Then the club can reply , and to think that after 4 games mr dyer thinks he is so much better than the rest that can show off like a young kid . Ok rant over COYH and beppe. 2 nil to the golden boys
I think if we get an early goal, we'll win comfortably. If we don't, Billy Sharp is always dangerous and because of his height, Matt Smith can be difficult to handle as his performances in the FA Cup for Oldham a couple of years ago prove.
Morning peeps. Leeds are 4/1 for the win today. Can't remember when I've seen odds that big. We have a number of new Italian players that could be making their Debuts today. Hope its a good game
Benedicic may start in midfield for us today, he's on a season long loan from Milan, and Antenucci may start up front with Sharp
Latest team news for both teams http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/274436-Watford-vs-Leeds-United-Match-Day-Thread
great thread..... and of course I voted Seriously though we should win this one.... but of course that means nothing
A coordinated effort today by the various railway companies to make train travelling as hard as possible from MK, Hemel and south of Aylesbury. Can't remember the last time both lines were out simultaneously.
H-F, makes it worse with Castleford & Leeds Rhinos fans going to Wembley for the Challenge Cup final.
Don't think I could make it in time now, but find that there are still plenty of seats available for the game. I wonder if the Bank Holiday weekend has something to do with it?
Thanks AK. Always a difficult game regardless of form. I'm hoping for a strong performance with the team focussing for 90 minutes. 2 league clean sheets so far is beginning to build a bit of confidence in the defence which will be vital as the season builds. COYH
I've just got in after another late Saturday night so I doubt if I will join you for the game. However I look forward to reading this thread in the morning. I make sure that I don't know the result till the end of it so thanks in advance to everyone who contributes whatever side of the centre line they support.
