Looks like Fazio is a goer then. Haven't seen much of him but he seem a no nonsense CB. 6 foot 5 inches. Not the fastest which is strange as Musacchio was the total opposite to this guy. Get the impression Pocho has realized we need at least one CB that is dominate in the air.
Most of these rumors are know-nothings connecting the dots. And most of those, the dots don't really connect. AC Milan needs a striker. So they'll be linked with every striker rumored to be for sale who people have heard of. So Soldado is linked, partly because there are various, probably legit stores about our making a bid for Remy. But why would we sell Soldado right after a good preseason, and his first really big goal from open play? More importantly, why would we sell one of our three strikers when at least one looks like he could be a starter in a non-striker role. If Kane starts at least occasionally on the left, we're short a striker, hence the pursuit of Remy. I wouldn't be shocked to see Soldado start as one of the three as well. He really seems like Pochettino's kind of player, technically proficient, with a good eye for a pass.
Bruce has claimed that Hull are close to signing Dawson. Would leave us light in HG players. Good luck to him and Hull Hotspur if he does join them, though. Always gave us 100%.
A couple of weeks ago i thought there would be little else transfer activity at Spurs before the deadline. However it now looks like Dawson going with Fazio as his replacements and maybe Sandro, Chiriches and possibly Soldado being shipped out. Hopeully we will get Fazio signed and sealed before te weekend is over and a late deadline swoop for Remy or Wellbeck.
If Fazio does sign, which looks increasingly likely, then our games with Chelsea should be interesting: Looks fair!
I'd love to see what he'd do if Torres tried gouging him in the face like the little gerbil did to Verts last season!
