Mental health issues will affect one in three people during their lifetime. As a result you all will encounter this either as a sufferer, through a family member, work or school mate. The attitudes displayed on this board are both encouraging and positively frightening which is probably representative of society in general. Oh and Alan Mcgregor, if you haven't done so already, perhaps you should seek help.

Get off your high-horse, telling everybody the bloody obvious. Has it occurred to you that your own quoted figures would tend to indicate that those discussing this topic have already had the experience(s) you blather on about, one way or another? This may shock you, but Gazza has had, is getting and will continue to get at least as good a care and compassion package as anyone else. Yes depression is an illness, but his drift into alcoholism was a choice made by a cheeky chappie who enjoyed getting one over his bosses. I've watched him connive to cheat in every way possible, ***s, booze, the lot. People with any form of illness retain their natural character; Reggie Kray did not suddenly become a nice man with illness. Nobody has said withdraw help or treatment, but it would be sensible to recognise that, unless he is prepared to help himself, that treatment, time and therapeutic facility, might be better focussed where there is some chance of it being better received. If you want to generalise and dole out stupidly patronising advice, you might at least try to understand that your audience lives and breathes in the same world of experiences that you do.

Brady you're a disgrace again. How many times do we all have to give you a ****ing chance on here??

As for Gazza, heartbreaking. I don't care how many "chances he's had". He looks 90 on those pics. He won't be seeing 60 I don't think, he probably doesn't want to either.

The irony behind Brady having a go at someone for being an alcoholic when it is clear he has these problems himself, as well as admitting that he takes drugs as well... disgraceful hypocritical ****.

Mods, I think he's had enough chances - can you please ban him?

Whilst I disagree with what he is saying, worse things have been said on here by people who have not been then banned.

I'm referring to the fact he's had multiple chances and not heeded the warnings.

Like I said, others say worse and don't even get warnings. (Patty, Blampey)

Oh yeah, I agree, but like I say, Brady has had a helluva lot of chances but just carried on.

He can't use the 'oh I was drunk' routine anymore, especially after this thread.

Both have had warnings at various times in the past. These things tend to be done quietly in the background.

I agree that he overstepped the mark, but that is probably a side-effect of his admitted problems - leave that to the mods, as there have been far worse things on here. What I do find amusing, is you complaining about and, it would seem, trying to censor a sufferer from expressing his opinion on another sufferer and how he views the situation. I think your personal dislike of him is very evident and equally pathetic.

Please show me where I said he couldn't give his opinion? I simply said it was hypocritical that he was having a go at Gazza in the way he was, calling him a **** and telling him to die ASAP, when he clearly has these problems himself. Is that not hypocritical now? I think it's a disgraceful thing to say that you want someone to die because of their mental illness.

My personal dislike doesn't come into this - he's had loads of chances and has ignored the warnings. Simple? Even if I had no previous opinions of him I'd think he was an absolute prick in the way he conducts himself after this.

He clearly needs to be off this board for a seriously long time while he gets his act together. Suspending his account will be the only way, as you only have to click a button and you're on here.
