Norwich agree few with club, player coming to england today to agree terms, would be very good signing, powerful midfielder who scores goals

Must admit I've only heard that Everton tried to get him on loan last season, don't know anything else. Seems unlikely given his level, but if it's true this could be a pretty incredible signing for a Championship club

Also he would represent a tremendous income stream for the club in replicate shirt sales. We'd probably only need to sell a dozen or so to recoup the fee. Mind you XL and above only!

Took some difficulty finding it (had to go to google belgium...) but found one article

    http://www.voetbalkrant.com/nl/nieu...-norwich-hebben-akkoord-over-vadis?ref=latest

    Google translation:
"Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe seems to have. Transfer his bite Club Brugge and Norwich City reached an agreement on a move. The player himself today travels to England to talk about. Personal terms
Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe was two seasons ago from Everton, but details of administrative tasks then blocked the transfer. The midfielder now seems to attract. Delayed to England Writes The Latest News. Small detail: Norwich relegated last season from the Premier League.
The Canaries are keen been promoted again this season and have therefore required. Vadis Norwich has an agreement with Club, but still around the table with the player himself. Vadis also travels to England today and last Thursday may have played his last minutes in the blue-black shirt.
    "

Good spot Snowy! Hopefully they agree personal terms as he seems to be a straight replacement for Fer and his highly rated by none other than Vincent Kompany

Have to admit neither have I, and in fact when I first read the OP I thought it was a joke and I started saying his name slowly, quickly and in different accents to work out what the joke was <laugh>

No I hadn't heard of him either but after a bit of a google research he appears to be a powerful box-to-box midfielder - pretty much a direct replacement for Fer. The scouts/management team had obviously been doing their homework whilst waiting for Fer to inevitably leave.

For which I owe them all an apology. Only yesterday I criticised NA and co when he said of Fer's departure "We'll now look to get a replacement in".
Seems they were already well and truly 'on it' <ok>

Wonder if Cove knows anything about him?

    He is our continental guru.

Would be an incredible coup is we could get him to join!

Andelecht, Hamburg and Brugge on his CV.

    Any mention of an amount?

By the looks of what has been said on Twitter (hardly reliable, I know), he's been wanting to leave for quite a while and Brugge are quite keen to offload him because of this. That may mean his fee will be on the cheaper end of the spectrum.

I've found them pretty accurate if you work on the following basis:
    (A) about right if the player wants to leave or only has around 12 months on his contract or the club is desperate to sell
    (B) about twice the value if the player has a lot of time on his contract and is not pushing to leave
    (C) about three times the value if the club buying is absolutely desperate

There also seems to be an "English-player premium". Players from the continent tend to be closer to the valuations.

Helpful as a guide, but not definitive. This guy seems to have been eyeing up a PL move for a while (possibly with a view to getting into the Belgium squad again). Since the Everton loan collapsed, he's obviously not been able to get much. It sounds like he really struggled with his first move abroad to Germany and had to return to Belgium. So he may view the easiest way of settling into a foreign country and making the PL is to join a promotion candidate for a season and either go up with them or attract the attention of a PL club after a successful Championship season.

I'd say we would get him for about £5m, which leaves a little bit of our Fer money left over, based on a combination of the valuation and our likely budget.
