Morning troops. I'm hoping for a decent Leeds win today, & certainly a better performance. But I have a nasty feeling we might get turned over today. Two problems: 1. We've got so many new players, it's taking a while for them to get. 2. The diamond formation doesn't work for us. Best to go for either 352, or 4132 with a flat 3 in midfield. Formations matter because its how you work together to get control of the midfield in order to supply the bullets for the forwards and others to score the goals. The Hock got it right against 'Boro, but he got it badly wrong in the first half on Tuesday. For the sake of his future at ER, I hope he gets the formation right and those he picks to start put in a shift for him.
The hock didn't get it right against boro ffs. They dominated play for huge periods. And we got lucky. If their goal hadn't been wrongly chalked off they would have battered us.
You are absolutely correct Glory I do hope we see some positives from todays game as I said hock will be out if things don't improve my the time we have a break for the internationals
1-0 defeat for me seems most likely. We've still to find our feet & scoring seems to be a major problem. Our defence is our best feature, so don't think we'll be hammered (famous last words?). I'll be thrilled to bits if we get a draw. Champagne will be getting cracked open if we get a win, but think it'll be plain old beer tonight.
