None of that girlie screaming for our Yun... http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/220814-yun-suk-youngs-ice-bucket-challenge-1860180.aspx?
Didn't expect any less. Kim Jong Un's trained him well. Wherever you are Imaz, one strike for the Dear Leader!!
I kinda agree with you rrrrrs. I have an aversion to people requesting sponsorship so they can go off an play four rounds of golf in 24 hours, or climb some rocky peak or other, or run a mile in a pink shirt. I'd rather they asked me to sponsor them whilst they do up an old git's garden, or wash off graffiti, or pick up litter and dogshit from a kids' play park or something. Would be far more worthy.
I'll sponsor you to do all of those things Uber, just send me some pictorial evidence of you doing them.
I have to ask how is money getting donated to the charity, does everyone that gets a bucket over their head give money? Not sure i understand how it works, but given that Harry has been nominated unless he gives lots of cash surely he will look daft if he does not do it.
I am by no means the most self righteous person on the planet, Stan, but I have done all of these voluntarily at times throughout my life. I still walk along picking up litter, often carrying a bag for that purpose. I've done my bit for the elderly too, but not as much recently as perhaps I should.
Not my favourite President, and dignity was never his strong point, but respect to George Dubya for this, and at least he gives some information about what it's for..
Nope. Litter and graffiti are two things that really piss me off. I cannot understand why it is that people what to turn the place in which they live into a ****hole. We are fortunate enough to have a number of woods and copses within easy walk of our front door, so beautiful places to stroll and give the mutt some exercise. You can tell when it's end of term, because the OPKs* leave drinks cans, chocolate wrappers and empty crisp bags all over the place, this turning a tranquil place of natural beauty into the Bronx. It really ****s me off. (*Other People's Kids)
And I collect dog **** every time I take Stan the dog for a walk. If it raises money for a worthwhile charity, which I believe ALS to be, who cares. There is a limited amount of money to be 'donated', the 'good causes' are in competition with each other for it, good for the charity marketing whizz kid who finds a way to grab a bigger share of voice.
Then I have less understanding of the whole thing if getting a bucket of cold water over your head means you don't donate when most of these people are rather well off, I must be missing something. Makes apparently Charlie Sheens version (love him or loathe him) bucket of £10,000 dollars over his head and challenged current cast of Two and a Half Men to do same. At least someone trying to raise money for this charity.
It started in US for motor neuron disease and has taken off all over the world. I think the reason it is been posted is first to get people talking about it and also to encourage young people to donate. Young people prob would not donate if asked but by doing this "cool" thing they donate 2 euro by text after doing it.
