Trundles LF: Thank you for putting our views more eloquently than I ever could. Just agree to disagree with most I guess. Whatever the case I think Harry got it right when he said Mackay had been a silly boy (implying it was daft to get caught). I think most agree with that.
Quite frankly, I've heard worse inside many a football stadium. If there was an FA investigation underway, I question why this information was leaked to the public. Answer, so that Tan could stop Malky getting the Palace job.
Valley, The LMA, MM and Moody were informed of the dossier months ago by CCFC. They were supposed to act on it and didn't. CCFC notified the FA about the dossier because the LMA, MM and Moody sat on it. CCFC have made a statement on the official site to this effect. http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/article/club-statement-on-lma-1858687.aspx Just in case you don't want to visit our site here's the statement. PUBLISHED 12:00 22nd August 2014 We had not intended to comment on matters which have been reported in the press over the last two days in relation to Malky Mackay and Iain Moody. However, following the statement released by the LMA last night we feel compelled to respond. The LMA is the representative voice of managers, and whilst we understand it seeks to act in the best interests of its members, one of its major aims is to "encourage honourable practice, conduct and courtesy in all professional activityâ. Regrettably, we feel that the LMA has done no such thing in its representation of Mr Mackay and Mr Moody. The LMA were aware of the allegations from the morning of the search order, and their lawyers acted for Mr Mackay and Mr Moody throughout the legal process. That the LMA has sought to criticise the Club for the timing of the report to the FA is preposterous, because the offensive communications have been in the knowledge and possession of the LMA for many months. When the messages came to light, over three months ago, the Club strongly encouraged and advised Mr Moody and Mr Mackay to deal with the issue directly with the FA. It was made clear to them, and their LMA appointed lawyers, that the nature of the communications meant the Club was under a duty to report their findings to the FA if they did not take appropriate action themselves. Nevertheless, with the backing of the LMA, Mr Moody and Mr Mackay chose to do nothing. The LMA were therefore complicit in the attempt to conceal these messages (of which there were many more than the two isolated texts acknowledged by Mr Mackay). We also point out that the LMA members have a âCode of Conductâ incorporated into their managerial contracts. One of the requirements is âA Manager shall not use racist or other discriminatory language. A Managerâs behaviour should demonstrate to Players and other employees under his control that discrimination in any form is unacceptable.â We therefore find it entirely reprehensible that the LMA should itself put out a statement which seeks to dismiss deeply offensive racist comments as 'friendly banter'. If that is the view held by the LMA, as appears from its statement, we consider that Richard Bevanâs position is untenable and we call for his resignation. [ENDS]
Don't you find it a little coincidental that the dossier is published the day before Malky was getting the Palace job? Why not notify the FA earlier? Answer, Tan waiting to whip Malky yet again.
Of course it isn't coincidental, CCFC appear to have given the LMA, MM and Moody long enough to submit the dossier themselves and they hadn't. CCFC should have given the dossier directly to the FA but I guess they thought the LMA would have done the right thing. The LMA are supposed to be helping kick racism out of football but they sat on this for months, when were they going to inform the FA?
MM says it was a few emails amongst 10,000 - wouldnt that number have filled up the phone's memory/SIM?
I wonder if Temple still believes and stands by what he wrote re the reason why Malky didn't get the Palace job?
Makes you wonder how naive these high profile people are. Sending incriminating comments via texts and e-mail. Big brother is watching you,and in this present day of self righteous society, and do gooders,he will catch you!
Not at all. I wish it was. Now it turns out our owner was in the right and the then manager was a total prick. This does not paint Tan as the bad guy but really highlights what a prick Malky is. The original point of what I posted from the paper was in reaction to everyone trying to stick it to Tan. Now we can see that Malky should have been got rid of a lot earlier and anybody wanting to hire him should know exactly what they are getting. In that regards I do stick by my original point and feel vindicated by these events.
Every manager or chairman that leaves Cardiff is branded....a prick , "Our " manager ( Tan ) will get his turn in time
Can't believe you are on our board saying that 95% of people in football say what Malky said and this is just a witch hunt by Tan. Roofjack...if you seriously think that Malky is a fine upstanding person who got caught saying what the vast majority of people in football think and say in private, you should seek some counselling.
