Can't say I have mate, I don't get time to watch many films as it happens so when I do I tend to just stick to the man-films I've missed over the last few months.

I'm going to bookmark the thread though for future reference.

Edit: Just noticed the bit in bold, is her lover a woman? Is it a lesbo-flick? If so I'll watch it tonight!

No her lover is a man. It's genius though, British film making at it's very very best. Michael Gambon is exceptional.

Studio Ghibli have been around since the 80's. One of the (now retired) owners (Hayao Miyazaki) has made several huge movies, some of them published through Disney in the west. i had the privilege of visiting their museum in Tokyo a few years ago and it was probably the best museum I've ever been to.
For all you folk who are into the war, Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli were influenced by world war 2 aircraft and the war in general, and a lot of their movies are themed around them. His last, The Wind Rises, was about the creation of the Mitzubishi Zero, and Porco Rosso is about planes.
For all the 'men' out there, try watching Grave of the Fireflies without balling. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grave_of_the_Fireflies

Mononoke is a great movie, but like with all their movies you have to be a bit open minded to enjoy them.

Knew someone would have a better idea than myself. I like them because they are just so different to Western cartoons, more heartfelt.

The title song by Lisa Gerrard in that film is magnificent. Totally and utterly blasted out in Terra Mitica theme park in Benidorm. Sent chills down my spine.

He's a superb actor mate, and he's absolutely on form in that film.

The whole mood and open ending, it's just a great film, you feel like you are part of the whole thing. Awesome bit of work.

I'd love to do the Auschwitz trip, however, I doubt I'll ever get there.
The potato peeling doctor you mention was played by David Hayman.
Great movie with such an ironic ending eh?

Brock has one of the best ever real-life revenge stories out there, he was incredibly unlucky against Frank Mir and lost because he put his leg somewhere stupid and was forced to tap, what followed was amazing, Mir continued to mock Lesnar and try to say he was nothing, the rematch was just a ****ing mauling, punch after punch to the face, I thought the ref was just gonna let Mir die.

Then he walked upto him after the fight Mir, covered in blood "Talk all that **** now".

    Gotta love UFC.

Certainly was mate, didn't see it coming either.

I'd recommend that Auschwitz trip to anybody mate, I'm definitely going back. The feeling of walking down the track inside Birkenau was haunting and cold (It was cold as well cos it was February!) honestly I can't describe it.

    Unforgettable day.
