Norway, Precisely - spot on !! Great work Harry and TF, a very exciting squad they have put together. Only 1 aging player from a large club, all the rest roughly aged 22 - 26. Think we still need to keep Remy; still a big if...but every day that passes....keeping fingers crossed
How wrong can you be? The signings are good and credit where it's due including Redknapp but please. Do get your nose out of his arse. It's a pity that when the board is united we still need one inflammatory twat to try to stir things up. Just my opinion. I assume I am still allowed one even if it doesn't fit your "Praise the leader - he is always right" mould.
Fair play to the lot of them. Just imagine who our signings would have been if Bobby Z hasn't have curled that one in. In fact don't imagine just enjoy the moment. Come on you r'ssss.
Thanks Finn. If these are correct and this bloke is good as his career to date suggests, we will be competing with some big Clubs next summer.
Other than Rio the signings look good so far this summer. Credit to all involved. My unease with Arry is not with his player acquisition, though why we needed 3 pensionist CB's is s big ?, but that he no longer gets our team to play as one, seems tactically lost, tells porkies to the media at least, and can't bother with anyone he finds difficult. I really hope Hoddle takes over the training; tactics and team selection soonest, leaving Arry to move upstairs or out.
Brilliant signing, top class. And not only that but he adds to 5 already excellent signings. What a great transfer window. My one remaining wish is that Remy stays - if he goes, we then need another striker.
Hopefully enough business to keep us up this season. Still a relatively ok-ish squad when compared to some premier league teams. Need to get them fighting week in, week out for every point and create a good team spirit
I actually think it's more than an ok-ish squad , capable of finishing easily in mid table . Obviously there's some way to go to compete with the top 4/5 but then they've got a good few years on us . Everything points onwards and upwards and if we can keep HR and GH for 2/3 seasons to establish us as a prem side then the world really is our oyster , plus the new stadium which will take us to a new level . The future is bright , the future is Blue and White .
Thats a bit unfair mate. The point he was making is spot on and their will always be those who put Redknapp or others done regardles of what he has achieved over the past 12 months. Everyone is entitled to an opinion mate and even if you dont like him you have to acknowledge our sucess thus far dont you? Made some great signings too. ? Each to thier own.
He can't because then he'd have to admit he was wrong. No offence to Yorkie cos he's a top lad but I had it out with a few of them about a week after winning promotion because there was no sign of any humility coming from them after they were proved wrong regarding failure last season. Instead, they got ever more defensive. One of them has since left the Board, apparently because he was sick of me (even though he had me on ignore), but I suspect the fact that his ego couldn't handle being made a fool of regarding promotion is closer to the truth. Wait until we've lost a few on the bounce at whatever stage in the season and they'll all be back on rubbishing the team, the coach, the Club etc. You can almost feel them willing the team to fu*k up already.
Agreed. Read my post again. I did acknowledge that they were good signings and Redknapp should share in the praise. Just couldn't see the point of the comment about Redknapp's haters apart from **** stirring. That's what happens, some of it flies in your face.
Down tiger. I know you claim to have taken a trappist vow of silence whenever things don't go our way but at least I don't go overboard the way you do during the course of a game whenever someone disappoints. Anyone who reads the matchday threads will know exactly what I'm talking about. Anyway, how did this expression of free speech get turned into something you said or did in the past.
Me, the vroverbial **** stirer? Yeah you got me sussed mate I know you're a big fan of Warnock (me too by the way) and defend him whenever needed. It's just the same with me and Redknapp, I like him (more and more) and often feel the need to defend him and make sure he gets the credit when deserved. It takes time to feel a part of a new club, for both managers and players. Wembley in May was one of those coming together moments. To me Redknapp seem more and more comfortable here now, especially now he's put together his own side. No hard feelings mate
