He spent most of last season injured so is obviously the replacement for Lisbie. Perhaps he is the experienced striker we need in the squad and we will now sign Le Fondre, Rhodes or Rooney. Also, there is Afobe to come on a season long loan. Henderson and Racon, now we need some quality rather than quantity in the squad. Surely this statement about signing £1m strikers wasn't a load of rubbish. Unless of course it is Henderson who was actually a £2m striker a few years ago. Beginning to think we are scraping the bottom of the barrel.
Lisbie is training with us over summer, and if he doesnt get any proper contract offers from championship clubs hes staying with us on a pay as you play deal. Source: SLP
Would be very happy with that, Lisbie did very well when he was playing, unfortunately this wasn't very often due to injuries so if he can keep himself injury free it should be good for both parties.
