Watford had the misfortune to have defender Joel Ekstrand sent off after just 90 seconds when they came to Carrow Road leaving City to break down a stubborn Hornets rearguard which in the end they did comfortably 3 goals to nil. The Norfolk & Suffolk League fixture was played in Norwich and finished 1–0 to 'The Citizens'. City were the first of the two to turn professional in 1905, Ipswich following in 1936. All I hope for is an excellent game that is decided fair and square, as opposed to being 'railroaded' by some dreadful decisions by the match officials. I couldn't agree more! I'm starting to feel the butterflies already so god only knows how I'm going to be feeling tomorrow morning on my drive up from West Sussex. My eldest has never experienced the East Anglian Derby before and he's dead excited eventhough he knows that we are the underdogs!
I'm aiming to leave the house at about 7:30 ish to get to Ipswich by around 9 so that I can get into the front Car Park!
All I hope is we don't get something like a Bryan Gunn 'air-kick' or Gary Megson 'OG' ! However another Ipswich non-penalty (remember the penalty that never was), now that would be funny
