"Personally I wish Hobbs all the best in his career. During season 2009/10 he conducted himself admirably, worked hard and played well. It was such a shame to see a player drop in form like he did last season and think he desperately needs to be playing somewhere and be loved. NP will give him this. Time will tell if is a real loss to us or not, but Hull City have got a decent lad in Hobbs. All the best Hobbsy!"
ok, dirkster............ nigel and jack....back together again....in an homoerotic embrace... i can hear the violins...........his form returns...england caps beckon.....we re sign him for 20 million.....thus a happy ending...........
I've no love affair, just didn't like the tone the way the last link was going and more to the point respect what Hobbsy tried to do for us and wish him well.
I think it's a good deal for all concerned, he obviously wasn't figuring in Sven's plans and as long as we pair him with a ball playing centre back, like James Chester(or Dani Ayala if we manage to get him), then I'm sure he'll be a good addition for us too. Can we have Richie Wellens now please?
I think due to the contract extension he signed last year, he could see out his playing career at Leicester, congratz on Hobbs, excellent signing, especially with the gritty play of Pearson.
Good luck Hobbs. What is it with Hull signing our players on the cheap? Could Jack Hobbs become Sven's Max Gradel? But he is a honest player and always did his best for us. Time for all to move on.
Is there any truth in the rumour that you might try and get Gradel back? The Leeds fans would be gutted, that alone is a good reason to bid.
Im pretty sure that this won't happen, mainly due to the fact that hes prob worth 3m+ after the season he had last year at Leeds
Much as it must pain their fans, Leeds are a selling club and would accept any decent offer. I bet we could snaffle him for less than £3 million. He has apparently told the Birch that he would like to come back to Leicester. I would love to see him back but I don't think it will happen...this year at least.
I think i may take a punt on Leeds being the bottom three come the end of the season. The rate they are losing players and this season they wont be playing with the 'post-promotion' confidence.
I think you could probably get about a £2m bid accepted and with a discount due to the sell-on clause, he starts to look decent value.
Quote Stinger "So Hobbs to Hull for £850k rising to £1m seems it will go through later this week, shame. Welcome to @dannzy1 @kpschmeichel1 + @Pelts_86" I'm happy with that as I'm sure Hull fans are. £850k is double what we paid and £850k is a good price for a 24 year old reuniting with his old manager. Good business all round I think.
I have a great fondness for Hobbs. Fact is his traditional defending style doesnt fit in with Svens! Im happy for any deal around the Million mark and will wish Hobbs well. Also if we capture Mills then any sadness will soon disipate
Good player, didnt understand whay he didnt feature as much last year - face didnt fit and sometimes it just doesnt work out - sometimes players need a fresh start. Good luck Jack and all the best - top lad and a grafter. It was a shame but without that Nazi twat ****y catch wrag Brown Hobbsy just didnt have the same confidence last year..............or was just that down to Sousa the clown messing the whole football club up?
