Its not about where he will play, its about squad depth and options. Balotelli will give us something we haven't got in both depth and variation upfront. He is an out-and-out striker and will not play anywhere but upfront. He's not the most versatile player in the world and will force us to change our approach when he plays. He will sulk if he is put on the wing. I'd rather not sign him too; he doesn't fit and he's a **** too!
I think Mario is a good player, I'm not even that bothered about him being a **** tbh. I just don't think he suits us but I trust Brod so... PS...anyone else find it concerning that Mario's transfer fee keeps reducing? To Man City from Inter; £24m To Milan from Man City; £19m To Liverpool from Milan; £16m Usually the fee increases with each move! whats next... To Stags from Liverpoool; £1.37 and a packet of M&Ms...?
If Super Mario stops jumping on Goombas' heads we should be alright. please log in to view this image If he doesn't get into any brawls and as long as he puts us 1-up we should have a super star. Can't think of any more Super Mario jokes
Never even thought about that, but it is odd. Especially as you could argue he has been improving as a player. His scoring record at Milan is a lot better than it was at City.
It keeps reducing as each club soon realises its mistake. As for his record in italy... One of tge worst milan sides ever and despite his goals they are celebrating his departure. If rodgers thinks he can turn him around them good look to him. Theres far more chance of it ending in disaster like every other time.
Rodgers is no dummy. He suddenly won't expect Mario to do what he has shown a lack of keenness for. He will utilise Mario's strengths (several) and cover for his weaknesses (several).
Strengths: Good in the counter Good in hold up play Great shot Good in the air Busies defenders attention (away from SAS) Unpredictable Weaknesses: Doesn't track back much Doesn't press much If shot of confidence, useless Can get sidetracked or manipulated by opposition tricks May want to do too much rather than pass

Last season we played Chelsea. We were losing 1-0 and with ten minutes to go we made a sub to try and get a goal. In the 81st minute we take Jon Flanagan off for Iago Aspas. We then go on to lose 2-0 and out of the title. This is why Balotelli is a great buy.
Has he still never missed a penalty in a competetive match? Also he has a sublime free-kick on him, close to the abilty of Suarez in that department. I'm guessing Gerrard will still be the penalty taker, but I have a feeling Mario will take the majority of free kicks.
