Lads I was on the market place with you guys to party, sing and drink together. I had one of the bests afternoons in my life! And then I see all those images of some local ****s who ruined the perfect day. We've always had troubles as well with that federal police force, who likes the fan trouble cos they're hoolies themselves. I hope you won't see us next week as those who fooked up your day. I'm really sorry this happened
You've no need to apologise. It's been said on other threads, but most of us there have the same opinion of the day as you do. I certainly don't associate the bad moments with you or your club. Lokeren fans are a credit to their team and town.
You have nothing to apologise for, your fans and your club were exemplary throughout and gave us one of the best days we've ever had supporting Hull City. Your fans behind the goal we're incredible, wish we could replicate that at the KC. What happened afterwards was a shame but in no way something your fans should feel the need to apologise for. Hope we can make you as welcome when you visit next week.
I'm sure your apology will be appreciated by those on the receiving end of ''the trouble'' - unfortunately any chance of you enjoying your day in Hull next week has probably been scuppered; Humberside Police will take last nights incident as the perfect excuse to kettle your fans, for their own protection of course, and herd them around the town like cattle.
This^ Plus, I'm sorry to say that all clubs have their idiot fringe element, so I'm pretty certain that their will be some sad individuals who will attempt to replicate the events after last night's match, revenge won't even be on their minds, it's just what they think is the done thing!
Agreed with the all the above. I had a great day in the centre. Lokeren was a fantastic place. Really enjoyed chatting to some of the locals. Hope you enjoy the return leg in Hull as much as all the city fans enjoyed visiting Lokeren.
You should moderate on here. Your English is miles better than some of our established posters. Don't worry, there is always a minority.
No need to apologise. Unfortunately, in football in particular, there are always those who wish to ruin it for everyone else. Clichéd but true.
I wasn't there but heard about it on TV this morning...Lets pray some of ours don't think it was a challenge that needs a response!!!!!!!!!!!
Think the blame lies more with your police than your supporters, not to worry as ours are equally incompetent and are preparing your escort back to the ferry via silver cod as we speak.
Don't worry about it mate. We had a great day. The welcome from everyone in Lokeren was excellent. I can only hope, but doubt, that the city of Hull will be equally as welcoming. Anyone who has done England duty will know what Belgium police are like so no real surprise. A few of us went into the Meirennest pub before the match and no problems at all.
Why what's so special about silver cod? or do you mean about 10 fat beer belly boys what are they going to do? fcuk all
I go in Cod when I'm up in Hull for a game as I grew up on Hawthorne Ave. After a game its just locals that use it, so no problem with fans walking past after a game. Its only before a game that all the stone island lot are in there.
The poster was using an escort route past Cod as an example of how clueless our police would be. Why don't people read the posts fully before commenting?
Dont worry about it. It was not your fault. What a great day yesterday was. Even the result could not take away the day. Just hope that our local people can offer the same (some hope ?) hospitality. Fingers crossed that it happens.
I went with my wife and 2 children and we had a great time! We said we'll have one in the den bokser bar and we didn't move all day! We met some really nice people and barman even let me charge my phone up! They said they were coming over to us next week and I really hope they don't get any backlash from what has happened? Which is usually the case!
