I know, I was been facetious. There's no doubting that we would have secured Champions League footy in any season that we had Bale, Suarez, Modric and VdV in the same team. However I still don't believe we would have been able to hold on to any of them when the likes of Madrid, Barca come calling, they are and always will be on another level and poach players from even the very best, Champions League teams. As far as I can see the only difference it would have made is we would have more money in the bank, from transfer fees, to build the new stadium.
We'd be cash rich by now. Levy would have got £200m for Mdric, Bale and Suarez. We'd have been in CL and therefore able to compete for the best players. Arsenal would be arriving home from Cyprus.
Were there many games in the 2011-12 PL season that Spurs drew/lost due to poor forward play ?? I don't recall several such games, so I question the Suarez suggestion. We only lost the CL slot because we did not DRAW one more game.
"if we were still in the C/L,Bale and Saurez would not have to leave" Nope. The apex clubs would offer higher wages, and a greater likelihood of getting a CL winners medal. Last season has demonstrated that emphatically. Most players would have their loyalty sorely tested in that case.

Nope, Suarez left Liverpool because HE wanted to, not because Liverpool didn't want him. Same reason that Fabregas, Henry, RVP, Song etc etc etc all left Arsenal when they were in the Champions League - chances of winning and wages were higher elsewhere. Same reason that Atletico haven't been able to hold on to their best players despite winning La Liga and making the Champions League final last season. Champions League qualification does not you immunity from bigger clubs poaching your players.
