I think Wenger plans on playing Theo as our main striker if i remember correctly one of the reasons Theo was holding out signing a new contract was that he wanted assurances that he would be played through the middle
That isn't going to happen. He wants a big man who can play hold up in the central position. That isn't Walcott.
Anyone able to cast their minds back to the 2-0 win against the Spuds? Can you remember if OG played or if it was just Theo up front by himself? I remember him playing there and doing really well but can't recall the circumstances leading up to it.
Tottenham were diabolical that night. I was at the game with a Spud mate and neither of us could comprehend the lack of interest and passion from Tottenham. For the record, Gnabry played so was a wide right man cutting in, no idea what happened after Theo went off and the way Tottenham approached the game I reckon 11 fat ****ers from our row could have gone on and held out for the 2-0 win....
you could do with this guy
We didn't lose podolski though so it's a different situation But I'm pretty underwhelmed by the signing of Welbeck, hoping he proves me wrong though!
Ooooh, they were two ****e goals right there! Deflection and then dodgy keeping followed by an atrociously timed defensive slide! I still think with time there is something there but not just yet. I'm actually happy enough with the signing of Welbeck, much like with all our additions. My only gripe really is what we've not addressed, rather than what we have.
There is something about Sanogo but it's a little too early for him to be playing for a club like Arsenal. He needs regular playing time and really should go out on loan. I think there will be too much pressure for him to play for Arsenal, as the expectation on any CF is to do well. We simply do not have the time for a player to fumble his way to being good, especially at a very important position as this. Speaking of Walcott, when is he back? We are missing him big time! I'm salivating at the prospect of a Walcott, Sanchez, Welbeck, Ozil partnership.
Is it too late for us to loan him out to a championship side or to a foreign team as h needs to play regular first team just not with arsenal yet
Depends if Wenger want to revert to a "UNIT" up front strategy again. But he really needs to go out on loan and we need to learn to adapt with the likes of Welbeck, Walcott and Sanchez as our CFs. At the moment Wenger needs to make some tactical/strategic changes to accommodate this.
What is unlikely, Sanogo going on loan or Wenger making strategic changes? I think if Sanogo continues to struggle and Welbeck does well then he will go out on loan in the second half of the season.
Forget the loan, give Sonogoals a free transfer to barnet. Actually, I take that back. I like barnet. The spuds like our rejects don't they?
