Nah I just reckon his managerial reputation is at an all time high and realised he couldnt repeat what he did with the Nigels last season.
Sorry, thought I was doing a favour when I started this new, slightly different thread, this morning. Think it should go.
Interesting output from the LMA.....who started calling him Mr McKay and very quickly he became Malky. Lovely chap.......on the basis of that, it is evident that anything sent to the FA and/or Crystal Palace had nothing to do with him being dumped out of the process. Surely they would not need to listen to newspaper allegations related to this lot. They had evidence in the form of a report from CCFC to work with. if the LMA thing is true, then it had no bearing on their decision. Two bad texts out of 10,000 might be acceptable to some. But then, why has Moody also resigned? And Malky accepted the other texts sent without demurring. I think it is Libertarian who has the tagline, all that is needed for bad to triumph is for good people to do (say) nothing. There are certainly allegations and speculations in the press but it is clear that poorly judged (at least) texts have been found and reported to the relevant authorities, as is decreed by the rules of those authorities. It has nothing to do with VT, who, however, must think all his Christmases (or equivalents) had cone at once when this lot was found as part of a different investigation. Don't understand why Moody has such things still hanging around on his computers.
Timing is everything. Think Tan may have played a blinder here. Sad thing is we're not in the news for the right reason. Hope it clears the system quickly and we can move on with football.
Typical Malky, brought the LMA in last time and he was doing to sue for mecca bucks, we all know how that ended. Just wait, I think that 2 texts will get bigger as time goes on.
I'm getting to like Sherwood more and more - would you want the job as second choice just because the rug is pulled under the first? http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-of-the-running-to-become-crystal-palace-boss
Tan looks like he has been proved right but he cannot take any high ground for me given the total lack of respect he has shown, and continues to show to the history of Cardiff City FC and its fans.
Cant find any quotes from VT regarding what has just gone on ? Where has he taken the (moral) high ground ? Regarding the respect thing, so you cant give an ounce of respect to the person that SAVED the club and has actually allowed us to still make history !! What has just gone on has nothing to do with the rebrand !!
Back to the Palace manager job......... Just a thought looking at the latest betting, Pulis is being backed down to return there - anything to do with Moody jacking it in? Word was that Pulis was unhappy with the player purchasing side of things. Moody would have been a big cog in that wheel - wonder if him going and taking his "Malky baggage" with him will be enough for Pulis and Parish to patch things up.
Moody may have been instrumental in Pulis wanting to leave, a word here, a word there, creating disharmony. Not sure Pulis would return after this. Seems there is now a fraud investigation regarding the budget MM was given, seems he spent 90 million, a little more than he was allowed?
How's this for a laugh. The LMA have apologised for their apology: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28896425
The club have issued a statement now aswell. http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/article/club-statement-on-lma-1858687.aspx There calling for the head of the LMA to resign
So the LMA, MM & Moody were aware of the report months ago and chose to ignore it? If this is the case then I have to agree with the clubs stance.
I think if you read that statement fully the club are 100% correct. The LMA knew about this months ago and Malky & Moody were given the opportunity to go to the FA themselves. It seems the LMA, Malky & Moody need to get lessons in poker they keep bluffing Tan and end up apologising.
http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/article/club-statement-on-lma-1858687.aspx Statement from club in response to LMA statement -- PUBLISHED 12:00 22nd August 2014 We had not intended to comment on matters which have been reported in the press over the last two days in relation to Malky Mackay and Iain Moody. However, following the statement released by the LMA last night we feel compelled to respond. The LMA is the representative voice of managers, and whilst we understand it seeks to act in the best interests of its members, one of its major aims is to "encourage honourable practice, conduct and courtesy in all professional activityâ. Regrettably, we feel that the LMA has done no such thing in its representation of Mr Mackay and Mr Moody. The LMA were aware of the allegations from the morning of the search order, and their lawyers acted for Mr Mackay and Mr Moody throughout the legal process. That the LMA has sought to criticise the Club for the timing of the report to the FA is preposterous, because the offensive communications have been in the knowledge and possession of the LMA for many months. When the messages came to light, over three months ago, the Club strongly encouraged and advised Mr Moody and Mr Mackay to deal with the issue directly with the FA. It was made clear to them, and their LMA appointed lawyers, that the nature of the communications meant the Club was under a duty to report their findings to the FA if they did not take appropriate action themselves. Nevertheless, with the backing of the LMA, Mr Moody and Mr Mackay chose to do nothing. The LMA were therefore complicit in the attempt to conceal these messages (of which there were many more than the two isolated texts acknowledged by Mr Mackay). We also point out that the LMA members have a âCode of Conductâ incorporated into their managerial contracts. One of the requirements is âA Manager shall not use racist or other discriminatory language. A Managerâs behaviour should demonstrate to Players and other employees under his control that discrimination in any form is unacceptable.â We therefore find it entirely reprehensible that the LMA should itself put out a statement which seeks to dismiss deeply offensive racist comments as 'friendly banter'. If that is the view held by the LMA, as appears from its statement, we consider that Richard Bevanâs position is untenable and we call for his resignation. [ENDS] EDIT: sorry didn't realise already posted, already had page open and hadn't refreshed
That statement by the club about informing all concerned of the findings of the investigation "some months ago" has got to nail the LMA, Malky and Moody to the wall. Bevan should resign in his mandate as LMA CEO for not applying their stated principles as laid down in their code of conduct. An absolute shambles of an organisation that's supposed to oversee managerial principles as well as giving a voice to managers. It's now obvious that it's more self protectionist than your local Masonic Lodge.
News on the Grapevine is Malky will employed soon....................................... UKIP have offered him the Parties Treasurers job
Given the picture in this article perhaps everyone should've seen this coming http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ky-Mackay-sacked-as-Cardiff-City-manager.html
