I'm happy for anyone to question Bruce but don't come over all pisshead drama queen with tidings of doom and gloom. We lost 1-0 away in Europe to a decent side due to a daft mistake, it's not like the team SB chose got turned over 5-0. I know at this time of night your half (or fully) cut so this is all pointless but just wind your neck in you big fanny.
i just said if we lose on sunday when the purpose of fielding so many changes was for rested players on sunday.. it would be a complete ****ing backfire, what's hard to divulge about that
We could lose on Sunday if we didn't rest then too you know? Works both ways and hindsight is a wonderful thing.
This thread makes me question the age, IQ and understanding of football by many posters on this forum.
ofcourse but at least our involvement in a prestigious competition wouldn't be risked... simply put too many changes were made; and I know we didn't lose due to a hammering, why can't some people accept that brucey may have got this decision wrong? I'm hardly one to berate him usually bunch of fannies as BFT so elegantly put it
The team SB put out on the whole controlled the game, and without the mistake of McGregor would have come away with a draw. We know we are short up front with Long leaving, which they are trying to rectify at the moment, but at the end of the day SB has to try and balance the Europe games as well as the EPL.
I think, more than anything, this just highlighted that the squad is 3 or 4 players short of where we'd like it.
We should never have lost that, we were by far the better team, but we were toothless up front and it took Bruce 70 minutes to do anything about it. Playing Sagbo alone up front was a bit bizarre and Brady was dire but other than that the rest of the team easily controlled the game so it's slightly difficult to knock the line up but it should have been changed far sooner, but as is typical Bruce we just carried on and waited until we were almost out of time. McGregor is just a ****ing liability.
It's football - **** happens. Fortunately, nothing terminal yet, so no need to go ballistic yet. Some people...
Poor old Brucie. Don't know what he has to do to please some of you. He said before the QPR game that he would give the other lads that didn't feature against them, a run out against Lokeren. So it was hardly a surprise that he made all the changes. Lets face it, if Snodgrass had been fit last night, then played and got his injury, you would have been moaning that we shouldn't have played him. Cut Brucie some slack ffs!
****ing knee jerk poodles are out in force here. 1-0 loss in Europe and you're crying like bitches, try seeing us get done over by Oxford etc. ****ing tampon using ****s
Hat actually makes a good point, for all those that knocked Jakupovic for his big error, where are you now? Should Mcgregor be dropped and sold and never play again? Or should he be given a second chance?
Difference is that Eldon made a couple of howlers in about his third game, McGregor has made a couple in over a year!
I'm not calling for McGregor to be dropped at this point, but you're wrong, McGregor has made errors in the last two games. He got away with it against QPR.
Brucie isn't to blame here, we have to blame mcgregor, and the strikers, who cant put the bloody thing in the net, I have never rated mcgregor as a good goalkeeper, I think either play harper or look for another first choice GK
Strange that people haven't really seemed to mention their misgivings about McGregor before now (unless it was before he even played). Anyone who thinks Jakupovic is better than McGregor hasn't a clue. Similarly, everyone seemed to be raving about our squad strength after beating Stuttgart...complete overreaction on here. Get the striker situation sorted (which we all know Bruce is trying to do), and get another central midfielder in (we only have 4 for 3 slots), and that will do us for now. Another centre-half would be a bonus and allow us to get rid of Figureoa/Bruce but isn't essential if we are happy with another year of 15th/16th.
You should be able to recover from one mistake though. He cost us the goal obviously but we weren't ever gonna score playing that way. Why should one goal mean we lose? Oh and Maguire was **** by the way.
