He's ****ed up tonight for me. I love Brucie but I haven't liked his attitude towards the EL since before we even qualified. He's been bemoaning the idea of these qualifiers for months. It really seems like these games are a nuisance to him. I don't mind squad rotation at all, I often defend the idea. What I don't like is being so determined to rest both strikers that you forget that playing Sagbo on his own never ever works. We created nothing for 65 minutes. We stuck two strikers on and suddenly we came to life and started opening them up. Sagbo looked good against Trencin alongside Long but on his own he doesn't do enough. It was like playing a 4-5-0 today and no one made a run beyond him. Was it really that important to rest both of them for Stoke? So what if we lose one league game? This is knockout football and we might not get another chance. One of them should have started and we should have reacted quicker to how inevitably blunt our attack was by bringing someone on.
Hear hear. Mcgregor should refund all our ticket and travel costs. A mistake is one thing. Casual crapness is inexcusable.
He's a thick fat twat and I've purposefully not got started in him and his ****ing **** team tonight after all the kerfuffle. One thing I will say though is a new first choice goalie is a priority. As good a shot stopper as McGregor is how many silly mistakes has he made in barely just over a season? The guy is an irrational, unpredictable, untrustworthy liability and we need a steady hand in there.
How many pathetic schoolboy errors has he made in his time here? Far too many. Jakupovic hasn't even made half the amount of silly **** ups and he's discarded as a piece of shot. McGregor just isn't good enough, he's more of a liability than Paul McShane at his worst.
Knee jerking on here. The lads like Boyd, maguire who played will be gutted as it looks like they can't do their job when in fact it was just a **** up from greegsy.
Is it really Bruce's fault on the team selection? If assam has said i want prem survival above anything whats he supposed to do?
This thread is a complete overreaction. It's the away leg, we still have home advantage. He played a side he felt could get something from the game. 1-0 loss is an ok result. We only lost because of a mistake. We still stand a good chance of qualifying for the group. If we don't make it, we're still in the Premier League. You won't be preferring to lose at home to Stoke if we're relegated by those points us 18th and Stoke 17th. You're starting to sound like those idiots who go and moan on Humberside.
You need to go on a mindfulness course. So angry about everything. Cue aggressive defence of this post.
Sounds like when we turned up to Brighton in the cup without a forward in the squad. I put money on him to be the next manager sacked at 15-1, sure enough we lost the game and he was the next man out of a job. I don't think that's the case here. You'll be fine in the second leg and overturn the score. Think Rhodes would be a good buy for you with the Long money, probably a similar ish price with the crazy deals going about but a better goalscorer. Best of luck.
the point of playing a weakend team was for the stoke game, so if we lose that, it's completely backfired, capiche?
How about we leave it to the best manager we've ever had eh? Y'know, the one who sees the players every day, the one who is planning for us to be in 4 competitions this season. Stop being such a big girls blouse you daft twat.
