LIAM PALMER has hailed the leadership qualities of fellow Sheffield Wednesday defender Tom Lees â and has labelled his impact since arriving at Hillsborough as âtremendous.â The former Leeds United player has made a solid start to his Owls career, with the dramatic stoppage-time goal he and his back-four colleagues conceded in the 1-1 draw with Millwall being their first concession in four matches this term. Despite the blow, Palmer insists the Owls should be accentuating the positives, in the cold light of day, following their unbeaten start to 2014-15, with the form of Lees being one factor in an encouraging opening. Palmer said: âTom has been tremendous. He is a leader on the pitch and before the game, he is giving out advice and that spreads throughout the team and you cannot ask for much more.
