James Milner? The odds of former Aston Villa midfielder James Milner moving from Barclays Premier League champions Manchester City to Liverpool have been slashed. Sky Bet are now offering just 10/11 on Milner making the switch to Anfield before the transfer window closes on August 31.
You never known these days but rodgers is on record as saying he wont play for liverpool. More than just a denial. Plus surely rodgers, as good as hes supposed to be, would not want a carbon copy of sturridge but someone who complements him.
I suspect when Rodgers said that Telly wasn't coming, he probably had no intention to sign him. I suspect we turned to Telly when the other options turned out to be unobtainable.
BetVictor: Liverpool will pay Balotelli £90k a week, while Man Utd are paying Nani £120k a week to play for Sporting Lisbon. #LFC #MUFC #woodward #ayre
Rodgers whilst at Swansea "He is certainly an interesting one, Some players have that kind of personality and there's not a lot you can do — they will always be high maintenance. "For a manager it's hard work dealing with that kind of player, because your ideal situation is to have players who are in love with football and devote their life to football. Having said that, you also have to understand that sometimes the top players, the geniuses, have a flaw somewhere." "There's no doubt the kid's got a good heart, I have spoken to people at Manchester City and I have heard all the stories about how he walks into garages and pays for people's petrol and things like that. It sounds like there's a heart of gold in there, and that's why they persist with him and persevere. Some players are rascals, but they can be good rascals If they are not the good kind you have a problem, but you can put up with it if they are — and as long as you do not have too many of them in your squad."
Nani is on £4.8m a year, thats around £92,000 a week. Either way, not bad I guess, less than half the wages Falcao wanted, younger and best yet to come. I must admit Ayre has done some good business, I personally feel the Moreno deal for £12m was a really good deal and Ayre done well, am I the only one who was pretty chuffed about that fee?
The supposed good deeds he does are closer to the kind of good deeds tge mafia did. They often paid for everyones meals, bought people gifts and helped out financially. They werent being nice though. Just showing their wealth and buying up future favours. I suspect balotelli doesnt do his out of kindness either.
The more I think about it, the more this deal makes sense. £16m fee for a 24 year old with Prem experience, peak to come and could potentially be considered a "marquee" player, only £90,000 a week, so not too high wages..
Surely you have something better to do? You might consider it banter or discussion, but let's be honest, no one gives a toss about the BS your spouting and your just clogging up the topic. Do yourself a favour, **** off and start creaming over Di Maria like the rest of the United fans.
i had no clue of what his value was and i don't watch Spanish league. i know initially figures were thrown around of £20 mill for him, when you think about it like that going from £20 to £12 mill done well i guess. i have no clue what the player is like though, but others are happy, and you are saying the price is good, so yes good business from ayre it seems.
