Seems to me like something out of a spaghetti western where the gang have broken into the bank, found more riches than they could have imagined, then start shooting each other before they've made their getaway. Ridiculous.
I was expecting more this morning after last night's revelations.... none of the other media are on to it at this point either ???
It's OK Vic - I did not see it as anything personal - just a fairly fun post so replied likewise. We are all disagreeing a lot but deep down not one of us wants anything other than Beppe to succeed and give us more attractive football and a shout at the Prem. We only are not sure on the best way to get it.
Ciao everyone. On holiday in the beautiful Tuscany region of Italy. Limited wifi so I just popped in to say...what Leo said. Want him to succeed but doubts remain. Forza Watford.
This doesn't look good. Not happy about the professionalism of some players. Feel a bit mugged off really.
I've not seen a comment from Dan on this thread yet - I know he goes to quite a few training sessions - perhaps he can enlighten us or give us some insight into what goes on? I have not heard him comment about the Managers methods before so maybe it is not as bad as made out? Anyway, I'd be interested to hear your take on it Dan
this is getting out of hand . lets look back .gfz could not turn things around and we was looking like getting regulated . beppe comes in, turns things around gets us back in the play off race . but it was to much ground to make up . then lost the dressing room and lost the last 4 games . Our owners had to make a decision in the summer about him . right or wrong they decided to back him and make the playing staff even stronger . If the results are not coming then the owners will have to have a rethink . What right has mr dyer so say after 4 games that he should be playing every min. he is not a young kid . If the players are unhappy tell the manager and in some cases there agents .

This might be better on the Speculation thread if we had one. I know it is dangerous to put 2+2 together, but find it difficult to resist. Frank Smith is a respected writer who would not have stirred the pot unless he knew something was going on. Jon Marks has been very quiet since the start of the season about Beppe, side stepping questions. I suspect that he has known something about the situation for some time. Filippo Galli has been tweeting about Watford recently and his affection for the club. Currently he is head of the Youth side at AC Milan. Could he be looking to move up? Must lay off the Bordeaux unless this theory has legs.
More importantly, does the Bordeaux have legs? And do we want an inexperienced coach, such as Galli? As for his legs, I'll leave thoughts on those to H.
On my phone so cannot put the link up but the Beeb called it differently today. Apparently he did an interview with 3CR and was calling for unity from the players and saying he understood their frustrations. I guess students of body language are in for a treat on Saturday!
Just heard about Dyers outburst, to be honest, he scored us some important goals, and his pace creates chances others wouldn't have. He was a big part of our season last year, i don't honestly know who plays left wing for you guys ahead of him, but Dyer was in a promotion team last year, its not like he was promoted years ago and his legs have gone. He did have a small fit once last season when he got subbed off, validly imo because he was well scouted by the other side and was pretty ineffective, Pearson quickly swept it under the rug and it didn't effect him starting the next game. You guys are my favourites for promotion this year if you can keep Deeney ... and start Dyer of course
This is a strange development. Someone is briefing against Beppe, and the WO is running with it. In doing so they are not being "objective" and just reporting the news, they are making it, I wish the WO would come clean on who is running the anti-Beppe campaign. It is hard to imagine that players are upset just because they are not picked every week--a normal state of affairs, even inevitable with a bit squad. Or that they do not like being shouted at. Again, normal in football and something they must have experience of. So what is going on? Beppe is a complex character--he seems to value "passion" and "anger" in himself and in his players. Perhaps to the exclusion of other qualities .It is said he likes to use the "therapeutic insult" (swearing at people in order to communicate aformentioned passion). Well, Dyer seems to have learned that from him pretty well--maybe this is what Beppe is looking for. Trouble is, all this speculation risks destabilising the club at a moment when everyone should be united in pursuit of maximimum points. We have a few winnable games coming up--much harder tests coming later. We need the points on the board NOW, and anything that risks a loss of momentum is to be regretted. The owners need to get behind Beppe, and the players too--on and off the pitch. We have enough strength in depth to ditch any dyed in the wool trouble-makers. (no pun intended there)
'Work, sacrifice and heart are the only words I know', says Watford boss Beppe Sannino. Well, his English hasn't improved much!
That's an oxymoron surely. He must know "are", "the", "only", "words", "I" and "know" as well. Oh and "and"......
