Not so worried about JET leaving because I think his attitude can be brought in to question but Baldock is a different kettle of fish. He was so instrumental in our survival last season, as indeed was JET, but as he is in his last year of contract and has been visited by other clubs so perhaps the time is right, but who knows? Onwards and upwards whatever happens should be our guideline.
Its all part of a jigsaw I reckon, and if Agard signs then I reckon Sam will move on unfortunately. Have always said JET can leave. He's a luxury we dont need in this regime, plus his inconsistency, just like at Arsenal and at Ipswich, may prove his undoing.
I said this about JET last season when we signed a Cardiff City supporter told me about him. but I think we got more out him than the others. Hopefully SC can get through to him to work for the team and you can then become the player we all want to see.
Was about to post the same thing myself - most managers say you need 4 strikers - the pacy striker is the one we are missing Let's hope the wages can be agreed
Sincerely hope that you are both right- Why a new or updated contract hasn't been agreed with Baldock puzzles me- He can go for free at the end of the year, but if he signs a new deal now, whilst he can still leave, it does at least put his transfer value up-
yep agree if we are top two they will all want to stay. i love jet on form, but what i saw at Sheffield was a shame,if he had got the ball and swiveled then 3-1 and job done. He needs to buck up or ship out.
We only have 21 squad members including at the moment two keepers and only three strikers. Three of the squad are as yet unproven Academy boys, although more signings may leave them on the bench or in the stand more often than is good for their careers. Only two of the squad are over 27! So we have the majority of them between 21 and 27 with good experience at this level. Thus the acquisition of 23 year Agard will add to the competition for places. And if we are successful, the transfer values of all the players will rise. This would allow us to select the really good offers and not disturb the balance of the squad unduly. It appears to me that at long last, there appears to be a plan in operation, that will bring sustained improvements to the team results rather than the patch and mend method that has prevailed for a very long time.
I'm told Kieran Agard has agreed terms with #BristolCity. Move from Rotherham should be finalised today. Currently having medical #rufc
I think it's unlikely Agard will have arrived before 9am. Hope I'm wrong but I can't see negotiations being wrapped up in 55 mins!
How the mighty have fallen,to choose us over Leeds shows how far they have fallen We must be a attractive club at present, when you consider we have cherry picked the best in the division last year for the places we needed to improve. on wards and upwards
He's signed chaps! Once again thanks to Mr Lansdown for dipping into those incredibly deep pockets, that's a good signing for our league. Some real firepower up top now!
