    Good Morning Everyone,

Mirco Antenucci signed a two year deal last night. The 30 yo forward has a wealth of experience, and although he hasn't played at the highest level, is held in very high regard by his colleagues.

Peter Lorimer has been talking to the YEP. He reckons Leeds need a captain, an improved midfield and more motivation than they had against Brighton

Is that a dig at Hockaday?

    Thoughts?

Zac Benedicic played in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Rotherham United yesterday, giving the youngster a chance to hone his fitness ahead of this weekend’s trip to Watford.

With the shocking display from our midfield midweek at home against Brighton, surely we should give him, Mowatt and Dawson a consideration for a starting position? Who would you start with in midfield?

Not too bothered about the personnel but I would be playing 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1. Defend with two banks of four and play Byram at right midfield. Would settle for 0-0 right now.

But when we play this proxy diamond and we lose let's get proper humped and get rid of our joke of a coach.

Good morning Matt and co from hazy Cote de Bardsey .Its my beautiful wifes birthday to day she is 21 plus!
Dawson is not up for it yet I would play 442 with Ahenucci on the left Aryan Bianchi and another when we sign him!
    Taylor Cooper BENE and Berato
    Silvestri
I am surprised Lorimer dare open his mouth after supporting BATES they way he did was it I wonder because he was being paid to be his lackey surely not ,talking about selling your sole to the devil!
Lets hope the Hock gets it right but for me how can he possibly work out tactics when he is probably been told what team to pick who to bring on etc
No the experiment so far has not in all honesty worked

Morning Mike, and a very happy Birthday to your wife!!!

Hock needs to get it right from the start. Cellino won't hesitate to get rid of him

Morning all. Seems most people who get to most games, whether here, on twitter or on the yep, are all on same line of thinking so looks like switch in coach could soon be required. What will follow of course will be a six week bedding in period for the new man as he attempts to get his ideas across and change in tactics. Just hope we can pick up enough points over next ten games not to get ourselves in serious bother

    Morning Eire,

Trying to find odds of a quick Hockaday departure, but can't find one.

Midfield needs Cook and Zan as soon as he's come to terms with being here. We need to be able to go wide, we need to hold the ball, move the ball and hurt with the ball, which means attacking midfielders like Zan. Gobsmacked at the lack of development from Murphy and sick of the headless chicken Austin.

Hock needs to be able to change games and if that means we play 1 up front it has to be Smith, but get the ball to him with players backing him up. If we play with 2 up top it must be Sharp and Antonnuci, and with the Duke being out for a few weeks Ajose needs to earn his corn too as he may be needed as a wide man.

Lorimer should keep his fat mouth shut, yes he's actually correct but said nothing against Bates, he only licked Bates's butt hole. I said yesterday that Pearce isn't the man and a poor replacement for Austin who was also poor. Ross was no better so maybe Antonnuci should get it later as he's been captain for the last couple of seasons. Pearce isn't one of the best 2 center halves so wouldn't be on the pitch much unless we played with 3.

Hock is running out of time and it doesn't take long for your season to be over in this league, so we need results fast. Hock does like talking but his players either don't understand him, respect him, or are just not good enough. I think the players are good enough but jury is almost back in with a view of Hock <ok>

Need to be careful what we wish for too. Saw Malkay mackays name mentioned once or twice as a possible replacement. This mornings revelations show him up for the scumbag he is

IMO we are already in serious bother. If we continue with Hockawally for another five or six games we are likely to find ourselves adrift with Blackpool. Once you lose the crowd at ER you don't get it back. Confidence suffers, players panic and no one tries as they don't want to take responsibility if it goes tits up.

Feel for hock as everyone knows he will fail and no one wants him here apart from the bloke who pays the milk bill.

Saturdays game takes on the importance of a play off semi in my books. A win buys Hock a bit more time. But that's not going to happen, as unpredictable as this league is. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing names of high profile coaches names being thrown about that might make a go of the job. Will Cellino bite the bullet, and pay a coach decent money or will we get an unheard of Italian. Tuesdays performance and result has knocked the stuffing out of me at the moment. Can't even get excited about new signings at the moment glory

Best short term outcome for us: Hock is sacked and the steadying hand of Gary Mac is brought in to stabalise things. Remember that GM was with Cellino at the races for the weekend before he had agreed who would be coach and GM was favorite back then. Maybe MC has learned a hard lesson and knows he should have gone for Gary. Gary can work in that set up because he has worked for Houlier a frog who respects the continental way of things.

Quite right but goes back to my point. Cellinos coach budget is 90k a year. Unless he's going to increase that four or five fold, Gary Mac or nobody else of that experience and stature will entertain the job. What's Gary been doing since he left us anyway?

    Morning all

I'm sure Antenucci is a very good player and all, but if he can't create chances out of nothing we aren't going to see it for a while. Without service and a stronger midfield we can buy all the strikers we want and it won't matter one bit

I've not heard of this new striker we've just signed. I thought MC normally went for younger players and was supposedly a little put off by Sharp because of his age and he's two years younger than this antenucci fella. Unless I am missing something?

    Morning all,

This clown of a coach needs to go. Agree we should've gone with McAllister, who would've known the salary on offer so that wouldn't have been a problem. If not him then Eamon Dolan the highly thought of coach at Reading, who would have got the job if Cellino hadn't baulked at the £400,000 compo.
My personal choice, which would mean Cellino actually paying the going rate for a top coach, would be Paul Clement of Real Madrid, and would be comfortable working under our present set up.

Don't suppose anyone is privy to what squad number Antenucci will be taking? Just for the match day thread image <laugh>

Gary Mac earns bits and pieces from punditry and would snap Cellino's hand off for £100k per year. Remember Gary wasn't earning the wages these players earn today, and if he had he would have been a multi-millionaire when he retired.

Orion Antonnuci is a club legend and cult figure. Scores goals but mainly creates goals and battles for everything. He's almost a Vinnie character so should be good for us. The goals he does score are a bit special too.

We need a coach and a leader on the pitch and Antonnuci could fill one of those places

Hockaday still certain that more signings will arrive before the window opens. Says Leeds have numbers but lack quality in depth.
